Of course it is but it can't be the be all to end all and you're trying to claim using this information that one team is better than the other and it doesn't work that way.
You can't substantiate the claim that you've made using the facts that you're attempting to use.

I'm telling you now that there will be injuries and losses to overcome, without question. That's college football. You guys keep waiting for that magical season where we don't have injuries or suspensions. When we don't get it you give a pass to the head coach and say "wait until next year."
Bama sustained nearly as many injuries and suspensions as we did, but it wasn't difficult to project them into the playoffs. If you think we need perfect conditions to compete for a championship then we're not ready to compete for one.
Championship teams don't win because they avoid adversity. They win in spite of adversity.
