That interview is at least 2 years old

His biggest QB recruits were Perrilloux, Shepard, Mett, and Harris (I guess)…..those turned out great….Mett basically regressed under Miles and you could argue his NFL career suffered because of it.
Here just a few of the rest…..Hatch, Zach Lee (why Les went all in on a guy my fiancé at the time knew was going pro ball is beyond me), Bolden, Jennings, Etling, McMillan….a real who’s who there!

He's basically saying Coach Miles leaked failed drug test rumors right before the draft because he left early.
coaches try to be honest with NFL execs when asked questions about players. If they aren't, then those execs lose trust in head coaches and it ultimately hurts players in the future.
Even if Miles was the "leak," Collins needs to look in the mirror. Les Miles didn't fail drug tests, he did.
Collins ended up being suspended 4 times in the NFL for testing positive for PEDs and/or weed, so the red flags about him were warranted. Dude ruined his own career by not following the rules.

Yeah I hate coaches who sustain success of the previous coach, win a national title, then pass off the team to the next coach with enough talent that they win a national title too
Miles's tenure was frustrating because he flat out refused to change his offensive approach which was holding back an otherwise supremely talented program from consistently being a championship program. But to say he was the "worst thing to happen to LSU football" is beyond stupid. He has the highest winning % in the modern era of LSU football. In 11 full seasons he never won fewer than 8 games. Before this season many LSU fans would have been thrilled with 8 wins.

Les Miles was one of the worst things to ever happen to LSU football.

Miles ever did a 15-0 run?
Did Miles ever have back to back .500 seasons? Or even one of them? Miles' worst season was 8-5, and excluding the season where he was fired after 6 games, he averaged over 10 wins a season over 11 seasons. Could he have been better, absolutely, but his bad was never as bad as Orgeron's bad, not even close. It was very rare that Miles teams weren't even competitive in games. I can only think of a handful: Florida 2008, Ole Miss 2008, Alabama BCSCG 2011, Auburn 2014, Arkansas 2014, and Ole Miss 2015. Orgeron had almost as many non-competitive games in 2020-2021 alone: Auburn 2020, A&M 2020, Alabama 2020, Kentucky 2021, Ole Miss 2021.

Yes they both went the SEC championship game year 1 but let’s don’t act like miles had to build anything at LSU. If Kelly had the 05 talent and depth this year then they’d be #1 or #2 in the country and a shoe in for the playoffs
Miles also had to deal with 2 hurricanes and playing an entire season with no bye weeks.

Miles might’ve won 5 games with this ‘22 team.
The present day version of Miles, sure. The 2005 version of Miles, disagree

LSU led the nation by a wide margin in early defectors during Miles' tenure. If true, I'm not surprised he resorted to sheisty tactics.
That was Miles' biggest recruiting pitch. He encouraged guys to give him three years and he'd get them drafted. He's not going to turn his biggest selling point recruiting into blackballing players for leaving on the back end. That's silly to even think.

Maybe don’t do drugs. Problem solved.

Always somebody else's fault. Dude wasn't all that at LSU either and that probably had more to do with it.

Threw the most picks of his career and probably took the most sacks as well.

He did less with more.
Ignoring your constant conjecture, Miles actually won more consistently at LSU with predecessor's and own recruits.

by one
He also had more yards, touchdowns, completion percentage yards per attempt, and his QB rating dwarfed his 2012 season. To insinuate Mett regressed from 2012 to 2013 is laughably stupid.

i thought collins play hurt his draft stock
never thought of him him being drafted high
in fact was surprised he was taken where he was

If he ACTUALLY failed drug tests, I have no issues with this.
If they were just rumors, then Miles is a TPOS for this.

Joe Burrow had the most picks of his career in 2019 (i.e., more than he had in 2018). He regressed from 2018 to 2019.
You are a stupid person.

Very true, Atlanta gave this dude every chance to get himself together and never could.
