Cut him some slack. The restaurant as I remember it was good. I always thought the food was good.

I"m not surprised at the reaction of this board. I figure you all consider him a pussy for just not keeping his mouth shut and accepting his brain damage as just the price to pay since no one forced him to play football.

I can't believe the way folks are attacking him- I remember him from his playing days- A great, great, Tiger! If you are not in his shoes, don't be so quick to condemn or judge him!

And if we are? Can we condemn/judge him then?

Sure, if you know it is all bullshite...I am just saying we don't know the whole story, and it may also be someone pushing Anderson to go through with it all too.

"Sad that he sues and wants to hurt the very sport that gave him the notoriety to earn a living. If he wasn't an LSU football player, how successful would his restaurant have been?"

THIS.

Reminds me of all of the Legacy Lawsuits against the oil companies in Louisiana. Landowners are all too happy to have 3 or 4 wells on their property as long as they are producing, but once the revenue stops rolling in...... "Hey, you contaminated my land!! I'm gonna sue you for millions."

If he has his helmet, maybe he should read the warning label on it?

I don't agree with this suit at all, but come on man you can't be that stupid. When he was playing their weren't warning labels on the helmets. Those were added later to... prevent suits.

Who could have imagined that you could get hurt playing football?

So he played a risky game knowing that he could get hurt possibly killed, because he enjoyed playing and the cheers of the crowd. Forty years later, due to technological achievements, we discover that brain injuries occur. So now its time to sue.
If he hadn't played there probably wouldn't have been a successful restaurant.

The end of football as we know it is near. Soon, these lawsuits will flood the courts or gain class action status. The first successful lawsuit by a high school player will effectively shut down high school football, and the pipeline of players, as the insurance rates will be prohibitively expensive.

How fast football dies depends on the strength of the NFL and NCAA's lobbying clout, but football will go the way of asbestos. IMHO

If you've ever dealt with him, you would understand the negative comments. He is and has been a total prick.

Like any other industry, both pro and college football produce a product and make money. If, like in any other industry, an employee (player) becomes injured in the process of producing the product, he/she is entitled to pursue recourse- usually money.

CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) has been positively linked to producing the product of football. The courts will start awarding money, like they do in every other case of injury due to dangerous work environment.

Only problem. CTE can't be diagnosed till after one dies.

Let's all sue tigerbait in 20 years saying we all have hand/joint issues from typing these discussions amongst each other. They provided these forums for us and I see no warnings of the potential risks...

Then I'll sue my former employer for the typing I did there...
(I'll make sure its well after I retire as this is my meal ticket)

Then maybe microsoft and Sony for my worsening eye sight and attention problems from being glued to tv for years...

All the while knowing damn well I wouldnt have changed a damn thing haha. F*ck future generations I'm just trying to get paid
