Played HS at Madison Prep and considered LSU for quite a while before deciding on GTown. LSU already has a number of PFs but Leblanc should be an asset when he is eligible (especially if Emmitt or Watford leaves). Leblanc had a solid freshman year for the Hoyas and made the Big East All-Freshman team if I am not mistaken.

Here are some highlights and analysis of Leblanc's freshman season at GTown.

Didn’t he get into trouble there?

Yes as far as I know that is the reason (or at least is strongly related to why) he is transferring from Georgetown. Leblanc was under investigation by the University for a number of allegations but I honestly do not believe this situation will hinder his ability to play for LSU when he is eligible.

No he did not get kicked out. He transferred. He will do very will in B Rouge. Kid can flat out play.

If the current roster stays (which they should) the team next year will absolutely be dominant with the talent we have coming in.

Complete guess but I would think that he would have to sit out a year since he did play this season with Georgetown. Although, I am sure there is a waiver that they can try to apply for with NCAA.

He was definitely off the team when he transferred

It was on ESPN how he and the other kid played in a game the same day they did not show up to court for whatever they did

Google it

LSU recruited him, but I think Williams and Days were a little higher on the priority list. Interesting that Wade would take him after he got in trouble at Georgetown with Galen Alexander...a guy Wade quickly ran off in Wade’s first season. I guess Wade feels ok that the issues in DC are minor and/or can be overcome

Which, if he enrolls now, would have him eligible at the beginning of the spring semester next January, correct? Just in time for the SEC.

It wasnt a sexual assault allegation it was sexual harassment (and burglary as well). However the reason I still feel like Leblanc will be eligible is because (as the previous poster stated) a relatively large number of college athletes have allegations such as these levied against them and most of the time the allegations end up being uncorroborated and do not affect the players ability to play at a subsequent program. I remember the "trouble" Dominic Artis and Dameyean Dotson got in at Oregon. Those allegations were much more serious than these and they still ended up being able to finish their careers other places (and Dotson has made a decent little NBA career for himself as well).

Assuming he is cleared/signed by LSU for spring semester 2020 and academically eligible, he will be able to play after fall exams in December 2020.

If he qualifies for and is approved for some type of hardship (or other) waiver, he may be able to play before December 2020.

He does seem like a good E. Williams replacement. E. Williams probably declares for draft after this season, IMO.

He played well in some games earlier this year for Georgetown. If it works out, this seems to be a good add.

Based on what I read it appears that Leblanc and Alexander are accused of burglary and threatening behavior with a mention in the complaint of violence toward women in the past by Leblanc. There is a third player (not Alexander or Leblanc) accused of sexual assault.

He didn't get "kicked out" but he was removed from the roster for this season by the university. So he was definitely "kicked off" the team for this year.

He would have also been reinstated.

He decided to transfer. He wasn’t asked to leave. Happy to have him in BR. Kid got skills and will be an immediate impact player.

Wade really wanted him when he was in high school, now we finally got him, glad to have him on board. Big east all freshman team last season.

That is an accurate statement based on what I've read.
