It’s good to see Johnny got another shot to be a head coach in division 1 basketball. I wish him all the luck.

Feel sorry for those players.

Jones has zero business coaching.

I mean you can hate the guy all you want for what he did or didn’t do while at LSU but it’s good to see he gets another chance. Maybe with less pressure on him he can have some success.

He was given a chance he didn't deserve and was absolutely terrible. Why is it good to see him get another?

I don’t hate the guy,at all. He was s former player and coach at LSU and deserves respect as an alum. But his incompetency as a coach on the floor was really astonishing. He truly was one of the worst coaches LSU ever had on any level in any sport. Curley Hallmanesque for sure.

because maybe some people like seeing good things happen to former Tigers. Why is it bad to see a guy being able to continue his career?

He's the worst X and O coach I've ever seen in college basketball.

Mind blowing.

Guy was awful just what a waste of years. We happen to be lucky we found a stud young coach to get us out of the shitter sooner than later. Consider ourselves Lucky

He'll probably forget to but it will be fun to see if he calls any time outs to join the crowd and tell the team 'offense...offense...offense...' and then sometimes 'defense...defense...defense...'. Shoot, even mix up a bit ('offense...defense...offense...') to catch the guys off-guard and shake things up.

I didn't realize Mike Davis had left Texas Southern. He had a pretty good run there.

His career wasn't over or ending. He had a job as an assistant coach where he wasn't allowed to make all the decisions for a program, which is a good thing.

According to Chinyohang JJ was the reason Nevada was successful this season, so it was really a no brainer he would land a premier head coaching job. LSU is just lucky he didn't get a SEC gig, otherwise Will Wade would be SCREWED!!

so why is it bad that he got a better job? How does that adversely affect anything in your life or the LSU program? He may not have been a good coach for LSU, but he's a good guy and great ambassador for the school. I wish nothing but the best for him. Implying it's a bad thing he got another HC job just sounds petty.
