Ban me of you want for saying this, but for those people who want Coach Paul Mainieri gone, please remember that the next baseball coach is going to be picked by Joe Alleva.
Apologies for the bias, but I would take my chances with CPM any day of the week over Joe Alleva's decision making.

Bruh come on, Woodward would be picking our new baseball coach. If we don’t make it to Omaha, or at least a Super, Maneri needs to be on the hot seat imo.

bullshite. 5 national championships earns you the right to retire at LSU. The “muh national seed” crowd is so pathetic, it would be like if Alabama’s next football coach had the fan base bragging about starting off in the preseason top 25 after Nick Saban’s run. No one should expect Skip Bertman level success anymore, but it’s embarrassing that the expectations of some people are so low.
We’re now on a run of two shite seasons with obvious talent deficits in key positions and on pace to lose 20+ games 4 seasons in a row. Skip lost 20+ games only 3 times in his 17 year career at LSU. Let’s bump up the expectations just a tad

I honestly dont want to see pm gone or fired, he is a great person and has given alot to baton rouge...he has given his blood,sweat and tears to this university and had to share his or give away alot of his family life to be head coach , however i would hope that as soon as he feels his time to retire comes he will do so immediately and with the best intentions in giving the baseball program the best chance to be better and not leave it falling...do i think this orogeam can be morw efficient under another head coach , yes....doesn't mean i want to see ill will to pm...hopefully he turns the team around and they make anstromg rum this year...next year will be a tough one imo..
