What if Aranda doesn’t want a co-dc? Like a poster said before LSU made Raymond not the other way around.

Bottom line is if we want him to stay, it's going to take more money. He's a great recruiter and seems to be a solid coach. We've got good momentum going, so if it takes a few more dollars to keep us headed in right direction, it's an easy decision!

do you even follow this website. tRant botched about Dunbar every time LSU played BAMA. And boy the tRob threads back in the day.

It's really indefensible that O lovers have the audacity to say Raymond, an alum, is replaceable when he has produced and built DBU

I like CR but you're giving him too much credit. LSU was DBU long before CR and will be long after. CR joined the staff in 2012, arguably the beginning of the great "decline" and after the following players were developed:
Corey Webster
Travis Daniels
Laron Landry
Craig Steltz
Chevis Jackson
Curtis Taylor
Chad Jones
Patrick Peterson
Brandon Taylor
Ron Brooks
Morris Claiborne
Tyrann Mathieu

The following were recruited prior to CR:
Tharold Simon
Eric Reid
Jalen Collins
Jalen Mills

Greedy will be just the 5th DB drafted to be recruited and developed by CR, joining Rashard Robinson, Tre White, Jamal Adams, and Donte Jackson.

Clemson coach Michael Reed is the only guy I've seen that makes more and he also just coaches CBs. He also has a better resume. His 2018 salary is listed at $440,000.

Corey has 9 years as a college DB coach. Salary is a combo of tenure, experience, merit, and how bad other people want you.

He is paid about what he should be. That being said, if Kirby is offering him more, I guess we would have to pay more.

At some point though, LSU can’t afford to keep paying out the arse for every single assistant they have.

This seems like it was in the works. Did no one think it was odd for us to use a coaching position on safety coach when we already had Raymond? I think he did the school a solid and gave them a heads up on this being his last year so they/Aranda brought in Aranda's buddy Busch for a smooth transition.

We have to have assistants. Without them, O and our football program are screwed.

You're fricked in the head if you think Raymond is expendable. That's based on recruiting and on field results.

LSU already has like the highest paid assistants in the country. Why cant they pay these guys based on performance?
I mean did t. robinson /and oline coach really do better than raymond this past season ? I mean isnt that how much jobs get raises?

Pay the man. Who the hell you get better than Cory. Chances are we get someone less than he has already proven to be and he is a Tiger.

I would hate to lose CR but the reality is some of these positions do have a limit on what they are valued at and sometime greater compensation comes with greater responsibility.

Look and the number one enemy we have on our schedule. Year in year out they lose coordinators and coaches and just reload.

Big loss but the world will not end.

He makes less than Robinson, Cregg and Sullivan.
He has been here longer and ontributed more than anyone except Aranda.
His sin is that Orgeron did not hire him.
Pay him or someone else will.
This is all on Orgeron.

His salary is determined in relation to other DB coaches, not other position coaches on LSU's staff.

You honestly think that Corey can't be replaced? C'mon man. Everybody can be replaced.

I want Corey to stay but apparently things have been going on behind the scenes plus he may be getting offered a title which will look good on his resume. Never hold a man back from bettering himself.

On the contrary, his salary is determined by how “expendable/valuable” they feel he is.
