For those of you who think Eaux is trying to turn LSU into USC, you may be right!

Especially if you start by comparing running backs.

USC was very successful in the early 2000's with Reggie Bush and LenDale White. Not saying LSU's RB's will be as successful but the physical statures are very similar. They can be LSU's "thunder and lightning" just as Bush-White were USC's.

Reggie Bush' info from his 24/7 recruiting profile. All of the NFL and wiki sites now list him at 205 pounds:

Reggie Bush 6'0" 180 pounds, composite rating .9930, ranked as the #3 RB in the nation, 5-star
vs
John Emery 5'11" 206 pounds, composite rating .9931, ranked as the #2 RB in the nation, 5-star

LenDale White 6'2" 225 pounds, composite .9000 ranked as the 17th RB, 4-star
vs
Tyrion Davis 6'1" 230 pounds, composite .9396 ranked as the 8th RB in the nation, 4-star

Davis looks taller than 6'1".

The USC duo helped their team win the 2003 AP national championship and the 2004 AP and BCS national championships. Reggie won the 2005 Heisman trophy, Doak Walker and Walter Camp awards.

USC had an online that parted the Red Sea. If our OL becomes that good then we will win some serious games.

Oh this thread is going to be fun.

Glad to see you back posting as Ree, now that you got Tillman banned over the weekend.

If this doesn't show you that he is a fan of Orgeron, and not LSU, I don't know what would.

Not real sure you want to bring up the recruiting of Reggie Bush. Certainly, there are other less polarizing figures you can compare LSU recruits to than the only man who has had his Heisman vacated.

It sucks that LSU's dearth of running back talent over the last 20 years necessitates comparing our incoming RBs to guys from another school 15 years ago.

This thread is fricking stupid.

Why not compare these guys to Kevin Faulk, Rondell Mealey, Cecil Collins, LaBrandon Toefield, Justin Vincent, Ally Broussard, Charles Scott, Keiland Williams, Jacob Hester, Leonard Fournette, Dominick Davis, Darrell Williams, Alfred Blue, shite I'm probably still forgetting someone.

Didn't say a word about his recruitment. I used 24/7 information for his ratings and size to show a comparison to LSU's John Emery. What Bush accomplished on the field has nothing to do with recruiting.

An interesting note: Reggie Bush and Alex Smith (NFL QB) were both in attendance at the 2004 Heisman award ceremony. Making it the first time a high school had two finalists at the same ceremony.

If we could actually be like USC I’d have 0 issues, but those USC teams had elite QBs

Palmer, Leinhart, Booty, Sanchez and Barkley in a row we’re all great to elite college QBs.

25 downvotes for the two running backs that coach O is bringing in. That's pathetic even for this board.

No, what would have been interesting would be if you actually mentioned the name of the high school and the LSU connection to that high school. As it is, no one gives two shits about either of the players you mentioned, nor that they went to the same high school.

Some people may care that Helix High School infielder Jordan Thompson is committed to play baseball at LSU in the 2020 recruiting class.
