I agree with everyone else. Worst college football experience I've had. Been to all of the secw venues and several bowl games. Everything thing that has been said about the cops and fans is spot on. Will not go back.

Yes, the cops are assholes. They will throw not only the UF fan that started the fight but you as well if you get into the altercation. They have a dry campus which blows so you have to drink on their off-campus sites. Don't get caught carrying a beer near the stadium or you won't make it into the game. Sneaking alcohol into the stadium is pretty easy. They don't even pat you down in the visitors entrance.
Tailgating was alright when I went in that beatdown when Spikes punted the ball after the pick six. LSU fans really have only two spots to tailgate on their campus.
Went back two years later in the "Lee to Toliver" game. Helped that I was on the field filming the game in that endzone when it happened but it was the best away game I've been to. Also, the drive back sucks win or lose

It is my understanding that you can drink beer on campus. However, you have to pour your beer into a container. I used a coffee cup last time. I had no problems.

I went 2 years ago and didn't have any problems. Drank a beer with some Gators at their tailgate. Stayed in Orlando.

Went as a student. Almost zero tailgating. Can't drink on campus. Florida fans were dicks. Cops wouldn't let you stand on the bleachers. Saw a girl get thrown out because she screamed Geaux Tigers while Florida had the ball. Will never go again.

Fly into Orlando a couple of days early. Go to the Epcot International Food and wine festival (AKA Drink around the world in one day) with a small group of some fun friends and your trip will be worth it before the game even starts. Also, make reservations and finish the night off with dinner at Shula's.

Yeah the cops kicked my friend out of the stadium because a group of Florida fans claimed one of the seats he was sitting in was the same seat they have been sitting in all season. My buddy even had the ticket stub to prove it but the cop settled it by kicking both of them out. I'm pretty sure the UF fan ended up getting back right before kickoff.

Had a trip planned as you do. Three days before we were to leave shattered my ankle playing soccer. Ended up going and while we were tailgating a UF worker was driving by where we were tailgating noticed me on crutches with a knee high cast. Stopped asked I'd I had tickets I said yes me and my wife (we had a big group with us). Told me he'd come back one hour before game time to give me a ride to the stadium. We all laughed about it and continued tailgating. Sure enough he came back gave me a ride to stadium and back to tailgating spot. Nicest gesture of anything I've ever seen. If he only could a helped me climb the stairs of the stadium to the top where they stick away fans!!!!!

Definitely had cops tell us we couldn't have beer in our hands while we snuck out of a hall to use the bathroom.
Like the poster said before you can put alcohol into another container and you'll be fine. That's why the LSU tailgates are so far from campus or across from the bars. Fred's Bar has their yearly tailgate across from the bar with the giant gator head above it's door.

Go to Auburn or A&M instead. Gainesville is the worst.
