That's garbage. I'd be pissed to. A book in Tiger Stadium during the game?!

Now the real question: Would I have been angry enough to throw a hot dog at her?

No. Those things cost $5. Too expensive to waste.

Did you consider maybe, just maybe, she was deaf? Or maybe, just maybe, she needed to study what she was reading for an exam and was there simply to "be" with her friend in friendship?

Get a life of your own. Other people do just fine without your condescending attitude infringing upon their lives.

Chill out man. She is my grandmother. I have some vision problems and can't drive at night! My brother usually goes but woke up with the flu. She is a sweet heart and even though she doesn't enjoy football brought me to the game,

What's the difference between her and the co-eds who spend most of the game texting and the rest walking up and down the damn stairs going to the bathroom and BSing with their friends? There's a helluva lot more of them than women sitting around reading books. Maybe we oughta have monitors who make sure everybody is standing and screaming. While we're at it, let's close the bathrooms and the concessions. Damn right, dude. You tell 'em.

I'd actually be inclined to believe this.

For the guy who thinks all women or most women in TS don't know didly about football. I've been going to games since 79 and am usually impressed with the knowledge our lady friends have of the game. My favorite time was these old couples, the men and women were seperate, the men were talking about fishing the women, get this, were discussing what defense we should be in. Maybe you sit around women that don't know football so you can look smart.

It would irritate me too. I'm a mom in my 50's, probably paid too much to get a ticket, but wanted to get in early and see pregame since it was my last time being a Tiger Band Parent. I may not know as much as some of you guys, but I know enough to really enjoy the game and have a hoarse throat today to prove it. By the way, we got distracted a bit because the drunk that fell from the upperdeck fell on some people on the same row I was on. Just glad I was about 10 seatd down. Really great game and wouldn't have missed it for anything.

On some book forum this woman is starting a thread about the jerk that wouldn't stop staring at her while she read her book in Tiger Stadium.

I had a girl sitting by me in TS one time that kept asking the most annoying shite ever.

Good points. My wife was with me the week before and I am sure she would have preferred to read.

Op, it would have annoyed me as well, but a woman reading is better than the women in front of me that must have sent 100 tweets. Really annoying because it was visually distracting every time she hade to swipe her hand to unlock, etc.

It is a sign of respect to give attention to the performers. It is not appropriate for people to go to to an event and do something completely irrelevant, but I am guilty if I can get away with it. I may pull out my iPad and browse the internet at somebody else performance. I think it would be pretty hard to only allow in 90k interested fans kicking out the spouses. LOL!
