Give Jefferson a break, he may not be winning games but he hasn't lost one yet. He'll come around, hes still young.

thanks for your input, you've proven to be very knowledgeable of the LSU football team this year.

QB gets the glory for the win and the blame for the loss right?

Who's was it, the defense?

Not sure if anyone's noticed, but the "bend don't break" scheme only helps the other team control the clock and field position.

how about the 3 and outs we've put out this year.

or the fact that we are 91st in the country in first downs.

Ok Coach, since you are at practice with the team every day, tell us what should be done instead...

Totally agree with this for everybody who thinks they know what to do and how to fix any problems.

I'll keep track of this all year and when we finish with two or three losses and wind up in a good bowl game, I'll make sure you idiots eat crow.

What a dumbass comment. What point of my stating facts makes me an idiot, and what crow will I have to eat for stating facts? Football history is not going to change no matter what bowl game we go to. You also don't need to track this info, as there are already plenty of sites that do this for you. Here is one of them CFB rankings by year and week

My point was, being 5-1 with a high ranking is irrelevant to the argument, as we were in the same position last year and it ultimately meant nothing. I have said it before, that I don't think this team will finish 7-5 again... but to say JJ is clearly better by pointing to the fact that we are 5-1, high ranked, and are only loss to Florida is an irrelevant argument. We were in the same position last year.

I think the problems on the O go beyond just who taking the snaps behind center, but rather, the offensive scheme used has not helped the person back there. Also, giving another QB a series in a game could help this team out, whether it is RS or JL. Even from the standpoint that D's would have to gameplan for 2 QB's

You are correct, give him time, he will start losing games for us. With our talent at the skill positions and ranking in the bottom 10% in the nation on offense everything has to change.

I think the team quitting on Jarrett lee is something that cannot be ignored. Last years team had a boat load oftalent and both sides quit. Receivers quit bc they weren't getting the ball or were getting hung out to dry over the middle and the defense quit because they were constantly on the field and put in tough spots over and over again. When Jefferson was inserted in the lineup there was a spark to the team and you could tell that they liked playing for Jefferson more than lee. Why? I dunno, I don't play. But I just call it like I see it

Then we need another spark. Miles can tell Lee that if he throws an interception he is back on the bench (don't you think Lee knows that already). Since he will already be playing scared or confident, Miles should be able to see where he is going in the first series or two. What is the worst that could happen, he throws one pick 6 and Jefferson comes back in saying "I told you so?" You will also get to see how serious the problem is with the o-line. If Lee has time to throw then JJ needs QB summer school.

I don't disagree that the offense needs a spark and it could be lee who provides it but I think he would have to come out blazing hot and silence gis critics before they can finish their whines. Coming off the bench with little experience this year I just think it would be tough

No one here seems to remember how downtrodden the team was after the Bama game. The team just quit until JJ was put in. And the OL was MUCH better last year. I dont care if they put JL back in, but I cant understand why everyone is expecting miracles simply because he has sat the bench the past 11 months.

Part of the reason we can't run effectively is that other teams stack the box because they have no fear of our downfield passing game.

And part of the reason we can't pass is because the O Line is a glaring weakness.

Do the math. Fla rushes its front three. Against our 5. So that's 3 Fla vs 6 LSU (including QB). That leaves 8 LBs & DBs on 5. No one will get open in time. You can do the meercat all day, you're not gonna find a weakness there.

I'm not saying JJ is an amazing QB. But our O Line is under performing and IMO the main problem on the offensive side of the ball.

we can't afford to experiment with JL. if he throws a pic six, then that could be the difference in the game with the way our offense is playing. JL = crapshoot.
