He wants there to be a NATIONAL cap put on coaching salaries and I can't say that he doesn't have a point. But hes not going to hamstring LSU by putting in a state cap

You are different than the other dimwits that post here.

You understand that the problem is far above the level of the head coach. We will continue to get the same results until we change the highest level of leadership.

I think most of us understand that it won't do any good to fire O if Clueless Joe gets to be the search again.

You know what LSU hasn't had? Major rules violations.

For the Board of Trustees, the Governor, Joe Alleva and F. King
All of you can kiss my arse!!! You make me fricking sick. Y'all are the dumbest group of rich assholes

? Are you upset with the Basketball program?
Or is it the football program

The higher ups you are wanting to fire hired Wade and O

The football staff just or is about to finish around 10th in the recruiting cycle filling needs and the new basketball coach is or has commitments that will turn the program around.

I am not a fan of our Governor nor Alleva
The Board of Trustees come and go
Funding makes King's job hard

Last year the Baseball program lost in the finals of the CWS

Your post does indicate you are upset with the Administration but exactly what sport and why

I posted a simular message on Facebook 3 weeks ago. As much as it pains me to say this about our beloved university, you are 100% correct in your analogy. I of course am referring to the cash cow of LSU, football.

Just saw the article on the Advocate's web site. JBE is not going to cap coaching salaries, but he's certainly made it known where he stands on the issue of salary caps. I sincerely doubt his future BOS appointees (and the 2 current ones) will have dissimilar viewpoints. Looks like F King Alexander has something in common with the new governor.

If this is an indication of the new political climate hanging over LSU Football for the next several years, the odds on "discount" Ed being fired after 2018 just took a major hit.

Consequentially, Joe Alleva's job security looks a lot better.

He might even get that contract extension.

So you actually believe JBE is influential enough to restructure how college coaches are paid?

You look silly getting upset over crap like that.

In June of 2018 the terms will be up for a number of appointees to the Board of Supervisors. This will give JBE an opportunity to make his appointments to replace Jindal appointees and take full control of that body.
Jindal, his appointees (and F. King) are responsible for the fiasco in NOT firing Les Miles in 15 (and hiring Fisher). Jindal hired F. King as the only recommended candidate for the job (over the objection of many). Jindal also presided over the Alleva hire.
If you want to blame JBE for being a Democrat,or on other matters, fine, but it is hard to blame the current mess in football on him.

Doesn't surprise me. I guess we aren't allowed to rant on The Rant anymore.
