I became interested in LSU because I have a friend who is an LSU fan and another is a St Bonnie fan. They were having friendly banter though my St Bonnie friend knew his team was overmatched. It being March Maddness I like to take a look at the forums of teams that I think have a serious chance for a run. Most forums are full of BS and this thread in my opinion is a gem. People are talking about Horn Sets.

I don't understand the ad hominen attack. If you believe a position is weak & dumb, you should elaborate on why. I will say my LSU friend is a lot nicer and polite then you. If this is a silo, I will take my opinions elsewhere and you will never hear from me again.

My opinion is we can beat Mich without Livers.

I would like to see more player and ball movement on offense.

Being soft on the boards lost us Bama game.

One fricking rebound and we win

You are expecting college teams with underclassmen to function like NBA teams. You expect a team that succeeds with ISO ball to suddenly whip it around like the 2014 Spurs when the going gets tough?

I guess I’m just old school in the way that I like seeing off ball movement and screening to free cutters up for easy dishes etc...

We do this all the time. High ball screens. Floppy sets. Single side pin downs. Spain looks. Horns looks. We do alot you just don't know what your looking for.

I’ve been watching a shite load of this NCAA tournament, damn near some of every game so far, and I’ve really noticed how much ball action, high screens, movement off the ball and cutting other teams run, and are really successful with. Why the hell do we run so much ISO ball and not enough of this? Is it just Wills style? Or do we have too many pure scorers that we just live and die by shooting? I love LSU basketball a lot, but I remember playing Michigan State 2 years ago and thinking man they are just so much more advanced then we are. Just an analysis, I just don’t want us to get in trouble tomorrow especially with that Big that Michigan has, that dude is damn good!

ETA: I’m starting to get nervous LOL

Maybe you should have watched the Illinois game yesterday. They played a team they with lesser talent. They continued to run screening action at the top of the key and on the wings. Loyola was very connected defensively and they ended up with the Illini having a lot of rushed offense in short clocks. They were actually most effective just letting their big work one on one early in the clock.

We don't need to screen to get open looks, we need to screen to get good matchups. That's why Days has been so important. If he is shooting, help can only really come from the non big 4 players coverage. Makes it easy to identify when its coming.

If we lacked shot creation and talent I might see where you are coming from. However we are super efficient on offense and score at am impressive rate. Sounds like you used to know a lot about basketball, but iso ball is proven to work with the proper personnel. We have that personnel. Join us in the 21st century gramps.

There WAS a LOT of off the ball movement yestetday. I watched for that specifically. Cam was constantly in motion when he didnt have the ball. They were chasing him all over the court. Leblanc and Days set quite a few screens. Sometimes double screens out front. Spacing the floor is a big part of LSU's offense. It worked well yesterday.

You mean to tell me that when times get tight street ball doesn't work?

Wade is a good recruiter but only a mediocre coach.

Next year is gonna be rough

We scored 78 offense wasn't an issue and we had many open looks that wouldn't go down but go ahead boast you ignorance.

We did this more yesterday. Even some good out of bounds plays. The main difference in prep that you could see was how well Michigan beat our full court press by attacking it. LSU never really showed they could do that and a full court press was always deadly for LSU this season.
