that is currently sitting at 19-17 and 6-8 in arguably a weaker conference.
They have had some injuries as well and just lost Luken Baker again for the season.
Injuries to key players are tough to overcome with limited roster.
TCU probably doesn't make regionals without winning conference tourney.

Hopefully we get to see them in the NIT. College Baseball has that right?

Let’s not start comparing ourselves to TCU. Or anyone else for that matter. We’re LSU - the best baseball program in the nation. We’re having a snake bitten down year, and we’ll be back. That’s all there is to say about it.

I know you're joking, but there is a company that's trying to start one. I believe they started one for softball.

I think there should be one.

No but they've been a fixture in Omaha the last five years in a row. Pretty damn successful program.

the rant said many coaches would be better then paul. The only reason paul won a title and has had all the success is because LSU has more resources then any college baseball program in America. The rant is awesome

Championships from the 90’s, 2000 and 2009 don’t matter anymore

LSU is not on Florida level this year, Fla has a MLB staff compared to LSU's Sun Belt staff

How, in the name of all that is holy, could a baseball NIT be profitable in any way, shape, or form?

I'm not sure, but since I don't work for the company that's trying to start, I don't need to come up with ideas. As a fan, I want more baseball.

Something like 120+ teams play in post season basketball tournaments. Around half of FBS football teams go to a bowl. Baseball has one of the smaller percentages of teams making the postseason. Even when it comes to conference tournaments.

IMO, they would probably want to start small to keep the expenses down. Maybe 8 teams with a best 2/3 every round. On campus games for the first two rounds, neutral location for the championship. Something like the USA Baseball complex in Cary, NC.

Have USA Baseball involved, that brings funding. Have MLB involved, as it would act as another scouting avenue, that would bring more funding. It could be shown on WatchESPN or get a rights deal with FoxSports and stream on their app or air it on their regional networks.
