Started the game for the Bradenton Marauders. Top 1st gave up a single, struck out the next 2 batters and then the leadoff batter that got the single got caught stealing. They changed pitcher top of the 2nd, so hes done already.

I was told something today that I didn’t know about single-A pitchers and not sure if it changes as you move up. But a guy I know his bosses son pitches single-A and they have a certain number of pitches that they throw per game. Say it’s 20 or 30 or whatever number the team has in place for their pitchers, then it’s next man up.

That’s the spaceballs line with the degrees of separation. Class A ball pitchers can pitch deep- way more than 20. But Rookie pitchers who have already pitched a full season in college/high school only get used in very small doses.

Was he the 1st batter that singled or one of the next 2 batters that struck out? Thanks.
