My bad that was more of a general statement I retract it as a comment specifically towards you. By no means am I saying Wade was perfect or elite yet, he was poor at managing the last 3-4 minutes of halves, he didn’t post enough and he didn’t play big enough. I’m talking about offensive design and production, I thought that was the topic.

I agree with some of this but never said there were design flaws. I did say players didn’t execute and carry out screens or plays properly and that ultimately falls at the HC’s feet because he is not enforcing and demanding discipline and execution of very fundamental aspects of the game. I do disagree somewhat about talent, Naz, Smart, Cam, Waters and others were highly touted and were recruited by some of the programs you mentioned. I’m not saying they were even in talent but they had more talent than most of the SEC.

That’s kind of the devils deal you make with recruiting. Wade talked about he and Waters arguing about him being a pass first point guard. That came to a head his soph season when Wade benched him for two games based on what you’re talking about. Smart was better at trying to fit the mold but began as a 2 so it took a awhile before he became one of the most efficient Point Guards in the SEC his second season. I wasn’t a fan of him always trying to turn 2s into lead guards I think that was part of what you mentioned.

The reason we aren't winning as much as we could is because he is looking long term and making them run a good offensive set, where we could probably play street ball and beat the teams we're playing by larger amounts because of our superior athleticism.
This would severely prevent the development of this team and would hurt us very badly in conference play, so I like the way he is running the team so far.

Interesting. Go check my posts from months ago. The ones that truly know the game knew Will Wade did us a favor.
