Do any of you 6 and 6 guys want to take a bet by any chance? Or do you want to just get on here and drown in your own tears about how bad we did next season?

I could see this being a good argument IF LSU lost these games. LSU only lost two games in the SEC last year. One to the team that won the national championship and a team that finished ranked right behind LSU in the final polls.

Still crying about 2016? I have been told that I can't use 2016 as an example because LSU only had an interim coach. I guess it's okay for the detractors to use it though.

Well, the argument is that they weren't very impressive wins. You're saying they'd have been bad losses, but because we won them, that made them impressive? That doesn't make sense unless I'm misunderstanding you.

One to a team that we haven't beaten since 2011, and have now decided to to take moral victories against, such as, in 2016 when people were bragging about only giving up 10 points to them or last year where some were bragging about out gaining them by 7 yards. But in the end, a loss is a loss.
And the other loss was the worst defeat to that team in the history of the series.

Perhaps it isn't. But beating 6 teams with losing records and one team that finished the season playing 500 ball, and of the 6 SEC wins, 5 of those teams being so bad they fired their coaches isn't a good argument for how "good" the team performed last year either.

I'm not crying.
But that's the typical Ree response when he can't defend something that o fricked up. And yes, o was just the interim coach at the time, but that was part of his resume for getting the permanent head coach position. And he failed miserably that game. I don't believe anyone should hold the 2016 Bama loss against o, but that Florida loss showed o isn't head coach material. At least not in my opinion.

Yea, I've had it up to here hashing and rehashing the Troy loss. Tigers still finished 9-4 which is very respectable.
Arnsparger lost to Miami of OHIO yet that team won the SEC and played in the Sugar Bowl, and Saban lost to UAB, a unit barely into Division I, yet that team finished 8-4 and beat Georgia Tech in the Peach. One upset loss isn't sufficient, IMHO to damn a coach for all time.
