You're splitting hairs between these two QB's, but I would still take Mauck.

Exactly why it would be interesting to see which one people would put on their team if they could only have one.

Fwiw, I'd take Flynn in a heartbeat over Mauck.

Flynn absolutely. He won games for us. The 2007 defense was atrocious compared to 2003's defense. The offense was forced to win games.

I would go with Mauck. He comes off the bench absolutely cold after Rohan got taken out by Fulmers thugs. He goes on the field and whups their asses, junior and lulu are still trying to figure our what happened. He seemed to have a much more innate knowledge of what was going on than any qb in recent history.

Both are better than Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett Lee.

Mauck before he tore his Achilles.

Flynn played with a separated shoulder and sat the pine for 4 years with no guarantees he would ever get to start.

I know Maucks numbers were better but Flynn all the way.

And why does this make him a better quarterback?

I was answering the question "Which would you insert in the LSU lineup and why". I missed the better QB ?

But since you asked, I think Flynn has a better Pro career than Mauck. This is a pretty good barometer for QB skills I think. Call me stupid there.

The will to play with pain and patience to wait his turn go a long way with me.

If you want to go with Mauck, that is fine. He was damned good while he was at LSU. We could have used him in 04. Oh well.

Wasn't Flynn Offensive MVP of a National Championship Game against then #1 Ohio State?

4 TDs in LSU's BCS NC wasn't it?

Who threw that picture perfect pass to Bryd against #18 Auburn in 2007?

So he had one great game, two shitty games, and one ultra-important game that he didn't play in.

And who let nearly all the time run off the clock before snapping the thing?

Mauck was just over 50% aginst OU with 2 ints and a fumble on the OU goaline FWIW

I dont remember Flynn playing against Tennessee or Middle Tennessee. He had a high ankle sprain and separated shoulder.

I hate threads like this because I do think very highly of Matt Mauck. He played his role perfectly in 03.

Flynn has never started a game for GB. Pro Career is a good measurement, but so far, Flynn doesn't have one.

Are we talking starts rather than tenure or stats? Ok... I will venture to say Flynn will start more games than Mauck. Remember Flynn is only in his second year while Mauch is in dentist school. Tennessee and Denver didn't have Aaron Rogers either. Just saying.

The key word there was nearly.

Flynn

for the simple fact that Crowton won with him. who knows what stupid fricking playcalls he would do with Mauck.

nothing against Mauck though.
