This isn't even close. Flynn is a better QB than Mauck even with a bum ankle and a bad shoulder.

Mauck was a terrible big game QB. 3 TDs/12 turnovers against ranked teams in 2003 or some terrible stat like that.

facts and stats do not matter here.

fwiw, I'd pick Flynn over mauck.
Mauck shite the bed in big games for the most part.

If ya'll remember Flynn and Mauck both were very mobile QB's. It was nothing for them to pick up
5 yds. if needed.

I'd go with Mauck cause he was older and had one year of eligibility left.

Mauck. Although he didn't have a great arm, I think he had a better arm than Flynn. No slight at all to Clayton, Devery and Skyler, but I would have liked to see what Mauck would have done with DBowe, Early and Buster.

Flynn; He just seemed smarter with the ball.

Flynn, because he was ( like stated earlier) smarter with the ball

Flynn is simply the better QB and better athlete IMO. That being said MM would also be a serious upgrade over the current crop of Tiger QB's. Both were smart, proven winners who won it all. Flynn has more upside though, as proven by him being a Roger's injury away from being an NFL starter.

Tough to choose. But Mauck gets the slight edge over Flynn IMO, for intangibles (leadership, maturity, game presence). I would not be disappointed to have either Mauck or Flynn suiting up as QB for LSU this coming season.

Flynn, Mauck was a terrible passer, he kept Oklahoma in the championship game with Pics, he may have been a lil better at running then Flynn, that's it. Flynn only had one season to play for LSU, so the mistakes were acceptable, had he come back another year I think he would have been money.
