Don’t bring logic into this.
FWIW I agree with you.

think Jay is banking on winning it in 3. With our lineup, there’s no excuse not to

I wouldn't say that, but I would say we would need a hell of a lot of runs.
If the bats are even just average, all we really need is for one pitcher to step up and pitch well after Saturday and I think we will be ok. Doesn't matter who. Just one dude who can go about 6 innings and can avoid being shat upon by the other team's bats.

Dependable? Not to be mean to any of those guys, but what is your definition of dependable?
The actual meaning is "reliable". Have we been able to rely on any of those guys? I'm not asking what they are capable of. I'm merely asking who we have been able to trot out there, and consistently get a quality performance from.
To be sure, we have no choice but to throw these guys out there. But logic says you save your best for the better opponent. No reason we couldn't have beaten Tulane with any combination of pitchers that you just listed. Now we have to count on them to do all of the heaviest lifting to get us through this regional.
We better hope we get "good" Floyd today.

Dependable defined is you posting stupid shite. That’s dependable.
Posted on 6/3/23 at 5:22 am to 00 Tech Grad
So we are clear, you think arms like money, cooper, and coleman are “dependable”?

Is Collins hurt, or did he destabilize again? Seemed like he was pulling it together mid season.

We’ll prob never know, but id guess he is hurt

Because it doesn’t meet your argument. Why don’t you go pump Nippolt’s nipples. Is Neal’s back hurt from him carrying you all year? Yeah he would play with the way those upperclassmen are playing.
Isn’t it amazing how Jay said “that’s “winning baseball” when discussing moving runners? But but y’all know better…. Winning when runs are low ie a good lefty vs his team and scoring when you have a chance IS WINNING BASEBALL. Can’t play for the Weaver all the time. That’s NOT WINNING BASEBALL.

You and I must have a different definition of dependable.

Money versus any of these teams for more than an inning is bad news unless he is just going to throw that breaking ball OR there is a strong wind blowing in. Bigger park maybe.

Yep, Money can give this team 3-4 outs but it's best if hitters don't see him twice in a game.

I would not list Money as a dependable arm. If we end up playing four games he is a guy who can eat innings, but he will give up bushels of runs. By then, you hope our lineup is scoring more than a dozen against the back of one of these bullpens.

They would have nothing left either. So it would be a mash fest.

Does not compute unless you mean dependable at giving up a run every outing.
Jokes aside
The best joke about Cooper, one that literally made me laugh out loud, was when a poster answered the question, “Who will relieve Skenes?” (Interestingly, the answer turned out to be nobody.) And the poster wrote, “It’ll be Cooper if the batter is a lefty and we want to walk him.”
That was legit funny!

True, but another useless thing is arguing with Lester Earl. Floyd has been very good this year. He is a strong Saturday guy. Why you would try to argue about that has to be a character flaw.

Money is dependable, he will give up a long ball
Posted on 6/3/23 at 9:02 am to 00 Tech Grad
Yep it's the reason Jay made the call he did yesterday though it's still not what I would have done. He gambled and got a complete game out of skenes. Had anyone else started we would have used a minimum 2 arms if not 3 yesterday and skenes doesn't pitch a complete game against an Oregon state using another arm or 2. We still have to win today but our advantage in game 3 against whoever comes out of the losers bracket will be near insurmountable assuming we do.

If Oregon st becomes a 2/3 series it’s gonna take a lot of offense from the way they sprayed the ball all over park yesterday
Posted on 6/3/23 at 10:23 am to 00 Tech Grad
Lol. So, you don’t watch much baseball I take it? Floyd has always had good stuff, it’s his lack of confidence and that he’s gets easily rattled are the issues. Always has been. He can get hot, so hopefully he will lock in.
