That's because you're flying out on a Friday and flying home on Labor day.

MSY to LAS direct on Southwest from Wednesday to the following Friday was $318. I booked the day they released the flights. All direct flights from Wednesday to Friday before the game and Tuesday thru Friday after were all priced at $318.

ATL to Vegas, $340/RT. I'll be up in Atlanta anyway. So flying from there. I'll be in Orange Beach before then, so I'll head to Woodstock, Ga after the beach.

If you plan to drive to the South Rim of the Canyon, that's 4 hrs+ from Vegas. I'm flying into Phoenix on Thursday, headed to Flagstaff for a night, then the South Rim and Hoover Dam on Friday. It's less of a total drive than round-trip from Vegas and I've never been to Flagstaff. Flying back on Tuesday.

Just wanted to communicate another search possibility for the folks...

Flying out of Jackson round trip for 2 with getting southwest credit card $600! Wed to Tuesday! 800$ without credit card! I’m 2 hours from Jackson but worth the drive to save $1500 or more

Delta and American. My flights cost me $11.20.

Flying with miles.

Thinking of the same itinerary. Booking flights now.

I have over a million miles flying. Here is some advice.

Don't fly out of Baton Rouge. Whenever there is a mechanical problem, they are unable fix it and need to fly repair people in from the hub locations, and then they may not have the needed part. It's worth the hour drive to New Orleans.

The small planes out of Baton Rouge are also more likely to be weather delayed. Again, drive to New Orleans.

Next, flyout a day earlier than needed. It can save you a third of the price.

Flying out of Houston a week before game and hitting up Zion, Bryce Canyon, and kayaking Antelope Canyon, and then one night at Grand Canyon and then flying out Labor Day.

I just used 40K AA points for a direct flight out of Nola. Definitely overpriced, but as with anything, prices are dictated by supply and demand.

Had direct Spirit flights flying out of Nola on Friday/Monday but seems like all the direct flights were cancelled. Back to the drawing board for me

1035pm nonstop MSY-LAS flight on 8/30 Flights there

412pm nonstop LAS-MSY Monday flight on 9/2
Flights back

Filtered by nonstops so unless spirit just cancelled these flights overnight it looks like they exist?

For anyone else needing help, let me know and I can browse to see what I can find

Our crew taking southwest from Nola to phoenix for $200. Leave at 7:40 am and arrive at 9 am. Then hopping on frontier to Vegas for $140. Leave at 10:30 am and arrive in Vegas at 11:45 am. We all hopped on the direct Delta on Monday back to
Nola that they opened up. I had a credit with delta so was only $300 for me but I think that direct flight back is pushing $800 now.

Yes. They had 3-4 nonstops both days and they rebooked me on to 12-hour days with layovers in Miami and Chicago, lmao. Guess they cut it down to just one nonstop each day although at inconvenient times

I had recommended that people jump on their flight for the game early as it was a holiday weekend and fans were going to hammer these flights. Be thankful you don't have to compete with the weekend prostitutes flying in or out
