Good luck. It’s the worst away game for visitors. Don’t have an open container. Watch out for guys riding nuts to butts on tandem mopeds.

The bars near campus are all dives. Spurrier just opened a new restaurant that is pretty good but it'll be packed with jort wearers.

They will try and pick 3 fights on the way to the game and if we win, just get to your vehicle. They are the worst fans in college football

You better stretch and maybe do some mirror boxing to get back in the groove. The worst fan base BY FAR in the SEC and it’s not even remotely close.

The Social is a massive sports bar right across from the stadium. They have a rooftop bar with a ton of tvs, most likely will be beautiful weather. Spurriers place is cool but not near campus. He’s always there hanging out.

Went to Gainesville when I was a kid and I will absolutely NEVER EVER go back to that garbage place with that sub-human fan base. It wasn't like just a few of them...it was all of them.

I’ve been many times…and believe everything that you read the fans are horrible….
You cannot drink in public… police on bikes give 50 tickets if they see you… you can only drink on private property…you can’t walk around either on campus or off campus with an open container…. Police are everywhere….giving tickets and there is no warning so beware….people drink and tailgate at the bars or on private property…..
The few people that do tailgate are pathetic..
If I was you I would get a room in New Orleans for the weekend and watch the game on bourbon street it will be much more enjoyable ….
I hate to say that because Gainesville is a cool college town but the fans there are pure assholes….I’m always happy to see the gators lose in any sport…

Worked with a couple of Florida fans. Biggest douche bags I’ve ever had for coworkers. Had the maturity of 13-year-old boys.

Not true.
Regarding open container, it’s pretty straight forward. You can have one if on campus, no other public property including city sidewalks.

Man it’s not as bad as everyone is making out. I’ve been a handful of times and never had an issue. But since we are talking about shitty fans, I brought my buddy to the game in 2019 in Tiger Stadium and some jackass old man tried to get him thrown out for just cheering for Florida. Went to security and everything for no reason. Now I am a diehard LSU fan but I threatened to beat that old man’s arse after that. It’s pricks like that who give the whole fan base a bad name.

Gainesville isn’t as nice as Auburn, Bama, or ole miss, but it’s still a good time if you have a tailgate to attend or plan accordingly. Some fans are rougher than those at Bama or auburn(likely sue to Florida trash culture) but overall they are just fine

This. By no means was it my favorite roadtrip but we had a good time. As others have said be careful about open containers and be prepared for lots of Katrina jokes, they think that's really funny for some reason.
