We have our fair share of idiots too, but I'd like to think that we don't murder, maim, or vandalize when we lose. They lost one game, and they want to fire the man who brought them 5 national titles and is widely revered as the greatest coach in college football history.
The problem is that they are so used to winning that the let down when they do lose seems twice as bad. The party doesn't last forever. Sooner or later it's time to go home, and I think lots of them are terrified that time may be coming for them.

I mean, is it possible he's not as invincible as he once seemed? Well yeah. Is it possible other coaches are learned enough of him to beat him? Yeah.
But, I figure there aren't more than 6-8 schools who wouldn't happily assassinate their coach to acquire Saban for a few seasons.
