If florida state beats clemson this saturday they should go undefeated but it is florida state

I don't really see a team in the big 12 that will beat WVU unless Oklahoma gets their shite together.

Oregon could also be undefeated.

You could potentially have an undeated alabama or LSU whoever wins november 3 and undefeated florida state, west virginia, and oregon.

who gets the nod then if you have 4 undefeated teams. which ones will be they didn't get in.

We would have fallen a good 5-7 spots ...you know, the usual drop after a loss.

Bama dropped 2 spots....with 4 games left, they had plenty of time to clime one lousy spot to #2.

The truth is, they were better than OSU, but they didn't earn the chance to play in the MNC IMHO. Why? Because they lost the regular season game to LSU which is essentially the playoffs. Win and advance.

LSU vs. Bama was already decided, LSU won the SECW and the SEC...Bama finished second.

So, logically, you give OSU the MNC spot ..but Bama pasted the eye ball test
Spot on.

The establishment has done it to themselves. If LSU loses by 3 & the stats are close, & the other BCS conf champs have 1 loss, the NCAA football experts have backed themselves into a corner. It should not of happened last year, but the precedent has been set.

It all depends on what nick saban says: if it's too best teams then Lsu is in but if he reverts to his conference champs bit back in 03 then it won't be Lsu

Bama will always get the benefit of the doubt because of one name! Saban! They can lose a close game like last year and get in the championship because of Saban, if it were Miles who had lost last season, I agree with folks on here in that LSU would not have gotten a rematch to play in the title game.

LSU better take care of business Nov. 3rd!

If LSU had lost to Georgia then Bama probably would have jumped us.

It would be the fair thing to do to give LSU the same opportunity if the situation is reversed this year but it won't happen. Even if it did and we won they'd probably make us split it.

If we beat them Nov. 3rd Bama will definitely get the rematch over any one loss teams due to strength of loss and the "my balls" I mean "eyeball" test. Even if we beat them twice they will probably just talk about how Bama was the better team and should have won.

The only other unbeaten teams were Stanford and OSU, they we behind those 2, ahead of all the 1 loss teams like Oregon, who also lost to LSU only by more, OU who lost at home to a shitty TT and Boise basically.

Everyone breath deeply and exhale.

I'm more inclined to believe Brad Edwards who knows the ins and outs of the BCS far better than "the media hates us rantards" on this board.

Edwards is objective. 95% of this board, not so much.

They play Va Tech in Blacksburg on a Thursday night in Nov and before you scoff at VT because they put a turd in the punch bowl this weekend, remember 2 things: VT often loses some head scratcher early, but winds up with 10 wins and 2 prime time week day games, like that have cost 06 Louisville, 08 USC and 11 Ok St trips to the BCS CG.

You all know we play Auburn at Jordan Hare, UF at The Swamp, TAMU at Kyle Field, and host USCe...all before Nov 3, right?

After last year I wouldn't be surprised to see them put Bama in the game if we beat them again and finish undefeated. Why not give them an extra week off to watch our game and study film again?

Not going to happen if LSU loses. Same goes for last year. Rematch is only option for Bama.

Say what you want, but this is what I believe. If we lose to Bama, and only Bama, and every other BCS conference team has 2 losses, and LA Tech is undefeated. It will be Bama vs LA Tech. If everything is the same except we beat Bama. We play Bama again.
I am also in the opinion that if we had lost 9-6 in OT @Bama last year, it would of been OSU-Bama for the title. The name of your school means something in college polls. I could also see us losing out to a 1 loss FSU team.
Losing is not an option if we want a National Title this year.

LSU still has Florida and South Carolina. This could be a 2 or 3 loss season.

Of course it does, but some of you have a very severe inferiority complex. LSU is in the same tier as Alabama when it comes to national recognition, whether you care to accept it or not is irrelevant.

If LSU would have lost 9-6 in BDS last year, I guarantee you they would have still been the #2 team at the end of the season.

Also, you fools are worrying about an event and circumstances that have yet to materialize. If LSU wins all of their games this year, they will play for the NC. Period. End of story. The fact that you are worried about who or how the opponent would get to Miami is embarrassing.
