We know when Saban realized he couldn't control players in the NFL he quit. With the changes in college football and Saban not having that control over his players, I don't see him lasting much longer.

He is just driving ratings, which is his job. A lot of people like you will say he is just on a Bama rant. A lot of people will agree with him that Kirby has taken over as of the NC game earlier this year. Either way, people he is trying to lure in to watch/listen have an opinion. His show will be listened to by a lot of people today for the purpose of listening to Bama fans losing it.

I am starting to think ESPN is keeping him around to report on the angle of the end of the Saban era. Once Saban goes, Finebaum goes soon after, but Paul may be the most credible, on a national level, to give that insight. The end of the GOAT is news worthy, and maybe the transition to who the new head coach is. Just a hunch. And Finebaum has been one of the loudest voices saying something is changing.
