Yes he has heart and is pretty tough but damn I can't believe how bad his accuracy is when he throws. Even short gimme's are thrown high or untraceable. I thought this was one area we had finally fixed. Is this coaching or just Etling not being who we thought he would be?

Are you noting the pressure he is facing or naw?

We used to be just a QB away from being elite. Now we're a QB away from being pretty good.

He had a clean pocket most of the game yesterday. O line did it's job against a stout front.

no pressure on that overthrow that would have been a td. All on Etling.

Sure. But he's not a freshman and every SEC game is a pressure game. I'm amazed by his inaccuracy.

I think the OL did better than people are admitting yesterday.

There were definitely plays it caved in on him, but there were also a dozen or so plays where he rushed the play and took off running or didn't look at his second read. Maybe he is just gun shy from being hit.

He also made some really bad passes without pressure on him.

The weird thing is he has looked much better in other games. Just no consistent accuracy. I agree he was way off in the Florida game, which is why we barely threw it the second half (and almost let the gators catch up).

I hope it's just one game. I can't remember a game he had this bad last season with regards bad misses. Still like the guy.

All summer folks actually thought back surgery would fix a 5th year year.

That missed read to Williams late was brutal

Between the OL & WRs not being able to get open it's tough sledding

But yea the throw to Williams was inexcusable. He usually hits those

See the Bama game last year. He also locks in on his intended receiver and does not look the DB's off. Almost resulted in two picks toward the end of the first half, which is why we barely passed in the second half. A fifth year senior should be able to go through his progressions.

No pressure on the missed crossing route that should have been picked. Also he should have never thrown that to Sullivan. Should have been dumped off to Dwill.

Forget about accuracy, a QB who can run would have scored a coupe of TD last night. He had a lot of open space in front of several times.

Etling most of the game bailed out the pocket when he didn't have to causing pressure on his own
