Fremin is not a one hit wonder. Didn't he beat Clemson twice at their place last year in the regionals? The bottom line is that Fremin's Louisiana Girls beat Torina's "Highly" talented Texas, California, and Florida girls.
I guess that was "just softball". Can you believe Torina stated that the "staff worked hard for the game plan" for this game? They should always '"work hard" for a game plan.
We got rid of Les and he WON a National Championship and played for another National Championship. This year, Beth is hoping to play on SUNDAY at her own regional.

Hitting and Coffee’s error lost this game. Pitcher for slu did her job but i watched her in juco last year. LSU should have been able to score runs.

LSU has 3 or 4 hitters and that’s it!!! Coffey is the most overhyped overrated bust in LSU history!!! That kid ain’t done nothing but commit errors and not hit shiiiit. Bergeron, Edwards, Lassiter and Daniels is it and occasionally Redoutey and Laneaux…dump most of the roster of the Leftwich stench and start over!!

It’s Beth when will people realize this Jesus Christ. If SLU has better talent then why didn’t Beth recruit them. Les was fired. Pawl was fired. They both won ships. Beth is the longest tenure coach at lsu and has done nothing but shite the bed. The comment of “oh we scouted “this game” a lot is about the same as when Pawl said “we’ve taken a few years off recruiting”. Glad you scouted one game and still lost. She admitted she’s the problem but the lsu softball junkies really like her butt. This loss plus the foot race during the sec tourney when she made a coaching mistake should be the nail in the coffin. But nope she’ll be back next year and we’ll be right here saying the exact same shite.

Didn't see that half inning where they scored 3 runs. I thought they must have been a lot of walks because they only had one hit and one error.
We should be able to beat Conn tomorrow, but I don't know after that. I guess I would rather play SLU tomorrow night, but beating Bahl twice on Sunday is not very comforting to me.
If SLU beats Nebraska, we only have to beat Bahl once.
I think I need to go to bed now.

They have hit, in fact this offense will go down as one of the greatest in LSU history statistically. They slowed down starting the last game vs Arkansas and haven’t recovered since. It happens however it just seems to happen here late in the season every yr, I would have to question their strength and conditioning, nutrition or both because every year, late in the year they look exhausted. They are 18-23, they shouldn’t look tired unless they don’t condition properly..

Fremin would be a solid choice in the very unlikely event the Tigers make a coaching change. Actually, don't think Neal would be a very good head coach at all. He seems to be a solid hitting coach but leading a team is not his strong suit. He has some baggage in Louisville and the culture issues on the Tigers team is not all on Beth. Fremin on the other hand proves time and time again his ability to lead, motivate and galvanize teams--and--as others point out--with less talent. That SLU team out-performs their roster talent every year.
Think SLU will give NB a run for their money but ultimately I think the Tigers face UConn then SLU in a rematch before seeking to double-dip NB (Bahl) on Sunday. The hope is that we have 2 aces and NB only has Bahl (that other kid throws hard but no movement at all) so the first game would be key to win. Tigers can do it, but sheesh they made it a WHOLE LOT harder by dropping that first game.

Look, I don’t care about softball as much as football, baseball and track but I do care about all LSU sports. I watch all of the games I can including having them on my TV while trying to watch baseball on another device. This time of year is always exciting because of how much fun and good these teams are. You need talent to win at a high level with any sport. LSU played a really competitive non-conference schedule and performed admirably.
With that, some of these posters you guys are calling out about bashing are correct regardless of not posting all the stats for stats junkies. What can’t be argued is since 2017, LSU has not played to the level of performance that it had previously performed. Blame it on the fat woman who was at first base coaching or Howard Dobson, who was a big name hire when Beth hired him. People can argue this or that but Dobson was the biggest get for her as a hitting coach out there at that point in time. Beth was always a good pitching coach. In fact she coached my great niece while at UH as an assistant.
The facts are undeniable. She has never made a finals. She inherited a great team from Yvette.
She has 1 tie for second and 1 5th place finish in the conference in the last 8 seasons and been to WCWS 1 time in 2017. Otherwise, they have bowed out. In the regionals the last 3 seasons. It has been a downward trend since Waljasper and Hoover.
People can defend her but even Paul went to the finals in 2017 with a great pitching performance and was forced out in 2021.
Expectations should be the same for her.

Guilty as one of those that defended her, but agree that facts you state don't lie, AND I think Dobson is scapegoated by too many.

If you really think about it, it is almost the same as losing the "marble" game today. LSU will beat Conn easily then will have to win 3 in a row.
If they would have won last night and lost the "marble" game, they would have to win 3 in a row.
Yes, I know technically they have to win 4 in a row now, but I really am not counting the Conn. game. We could throw Casanova and beat Conn.
It is just frustrating that we don't really focus until the 7th inning in terms of batting.

Neal had baggage in Louisville? You mean like Korbe Otis, Carmen Greenwood, Sarah Gordon and Taylor Roby? Multiple AA’s? He has so much baggage one of the Associate AD’s has reached out recently according to my sources lol dude you have a vendetta against the kid , it’s plain and simple!! He was offered by multiple SEC schools while at Louisville before accepting the LSU job. You are a liar and some know who you are, I will say it again but you have a CLEAR agenda. Also, it tells how much you know about big time softball, Fremin would be awful, can’t talk to travel ball coaches and is strange, would never be able to recruit…the reason for your agenda will soon move on one way or another..as far as the culture , you have never coached crap, the head coach sets the culture 100% on every team in every sport….Saban set the culture, Kelly sets the culture, Jay sets the culture, Kim sets the culture , Beth sets the culture for better or worse. You focus on Neal tells me all everyone needs to know. I will bet this time next yr you won’t be posting on this site any more, you will be on to a new team. Btw, no clue whether Neal would be a great head coach or not since he hasn’t been one but he has led about 4-5 sec type players and a bunch of mid major types to one of the greatest offenses in the school history and that’s coming from a Beth Torina interview and looking up stats..
