Film shows game came down to LSU OLine and Chambliss

Watched The Film Guy Network on our game and throughout, 2 things stand out as the biggest difference makers. And yeah, they're fairly obvious.
Chambliss: In a lot of the breakdowns from the video, the defense is in good position a lot of the time. Or we get pressure when we needed to. But Chambliss finds a way to dart one in or scramble out and find someone. Elite QB play is usually gonna come out on top.
O Line: Bo was bad and the film confirms it. But holy hell, Bah, Westin and yes, Seaton all need to take blame as they were bad as a collective unit. Not saying Leavitt is blameless but the film shows just how little time he even had to throw and how it affected our plans to get Green the ball more but simply couldn't.
Made me feel better about the D going forward and Leavitt's ability to turn a corner and up his game. It did not make me feel better about the Oline as a unit at all.

When he shotputted the ball for a 15 yard gain I knew it wasn't our night.

I just hope we can survive this weekend and get a win. This team definitely needs a couple of weeks of figuring shite out upfront before heading to Lexington.

Reed isn't Chambliss. I know we don't have the best track record against him but let's give Baker one more chance against him with a defense that isn't on the field 90% of the game.
Also, aggies Dline is not gonna be as good as Echols and crew. If Sam has even decent Oline play I think we're in the 40+ area.

I think the majority of this board felt the same way about Pete Golding's defense.

On that play and a few others our safeties were dropping their responsibilities to come up support in stopping him from running while we had 2 linebackers with him penned in.
For sure that play and the td where he climbed up in the pocket and threw that strike to duce. Both plays the safeties took their eye off their coverage assignment.

OM defense really isn’t that good. They flash for almost 2 qtr and they have athletes but it’s just not good as a unit. We had every chance to beat them by 2td and just couldn’t execute

And his secondary. Even without a WR1 there was plenty of separation and open receivers waiting to make a play, but it’s useless if you have no one to throw them the ball.

The plays were there to be made to beat Ole Miss. LSU just didn’t make them, particularly on offense.
