1. What a great treat Cole Tracy has been. It’s so nice to feel 99% sure you will make all the threes from 50 in.
2. Burrow is one tough young man, and although I’m sorry he had to receive the cheap shot, I’m selfishly glad he did, because it ignited him and the whole team.
3. Although Marshall was annointed as the incoming superstar wideout, Chase is waaaaaay ahead of him in development as of now.
4. We were sitting midway up in the lower level behind the Tigers bench, and I’m positive I saw a guy that looked just like Aranda coming through the crowd during the game looking for guys under 30 with DB experience.
5. It was nice to see how deep the athleticism is on our team. What Aranda and the patchwork D did was incredible.
6. UCF is a dirty team who could’ve been called for penalties multiple other times. They do have some athletes but need to develop some class (this goes for a lot of their fans also).
7. Texas can save a lot of money on prison reform. instead of locking prisoners up, they just need to march them back and forth between El Paso and Orange, That almost 900 mile drive across Texas is a handful. It was particularly fun to drive through snow and freezing rain near Fort Stockton while reading the “Beware of Dust Storms” sign.
8. Congrats on a good year Tigers.

Calm down. Chase had a great game but Marshall has been outstanding when given the opportunity. Jamar is a monster but don’t sleep on Terrace.

Agreed with Chase being more polished than Marshall at the moment, but a lot can change quickly. We are lucky to have both. Gonna be studs

Marshall is going to be good. He's just not there yet.

Sorry but I said it earlier.
Chase is a stud and will blow up next year.
Marshall needs more time, several routes there was no separation and little chance to throw to him.
Stars be damned Chase is the better receiver at this point and was the top receiver in our offense during that game.

THIS x 1000

After a full/complete year of off-season training instead of rehabbing his injury, he will come along a lot faster in terms of his ability to create separation with sharper cuts, his power and quickness off his release and his deep speed. However, For him to do what he did after the injury as a senior in high school is impressive. Looking forward to watching him push to his potential.

Here are the 247 ratings:

Terrace Marshall
5-star, 0.9930
#3 WR, #13 overall (nationally)

JaMarr Chase
4-star, 0.9589
#15 WR, #84 overall

Marshall has the higher rating from the recruiting services out of HS, but both are in that range where it would not be surprising to see them turn into absolute monsters.

Anyone have stats on which receiver was targeted more?
Marshall has been underutilized

One other item I inadvertently omitted from my list in the original post:

Thank you Ricky B. You learned from your early fumble last year how important ball protection is, and you haven’t fumbled since. You learned that, if you are patient, you will get your chance. You now have a chance to play on Sundays if you keep working hard. (By the way, your 50 yard run up the middle in the opener was one of my favorite plays of the year, because it helped shut up a loud douchebag jerk from Miami in the row near us.)

You can’t utilize a receiver that isn’t open.
Chase turned heads in the camps and was expected to be a great receiver.
I wasn’t picking a random player and beating my chest like I knew something secret about him. He blew up at those events and there was no reason to not believe he wouldn’t be a stud here.

I want Marshall to succeed here, maybe next year will be his time.
