I dont think this would be a good idea, too much trouble in the locker room.

She's obviously not going to be in the same dressing/locker room

Some return guy will feel like an absolute CHUMP when Mo tackles his arse at the 50 and prevents him from bringing one back.

I'd love to see it happen based on this reason alone.

Would love to see that and see her go skipping back to the sideline

No, its ridiculous to even think she has a shot. Stick to soccer and quit being an attention whore

Which would hurt an ego worse? Getting tackled by a girl on a kickoff or getting tackled by our former walkon kicker with one arm? He's no longer with the team, but this is a hypothetical.

No way. Hairston on kickoffs, Alleman takes the rest.

Agree 100% that its rediculous to think she has a shot. But does LES give her a shot? Considering hes as predictable as a tuscaloosa tornado..wait...too soon?...nah

I hope she makes the team and Les allows her to kick an XP during a game.

no. she's not going to make the team. Les is already considered a big enough laughingstock to the rest of college football (whether warranted or not) and he's not going to do this to make it worse.

For some reason I don't think this is something he takes into consideration or is worried that much about.

They're not giving her a scholarship
If she is on scholarship from the soccer team, she will have to give it up and either be put on the football squad as a walk on or be put on a football scholarship. A football player can't be on the squad and be on an athletic scholarship from another sport.

It's called the "Bear Bryant Rule" when Bear would warehouse football players by making the coaches of other sports put a player on a scholarship from their program only to play football. It was his way of getting around football scholarship limitations when those limits were first introduced.

If I was about to score a td and mo was the only person left, I would let her tackle me.

I'm pretty sure the rule is that if you are on the football team and have a scholarship, it counts against the football schalarship limit. Same way guys who run track count against the football scholarship limit if they play football.

That is the rule. She will have to be a walk-on in order to be on the team. She's gonna have to pay her own way unless she has an academic scholarship.

Her soccer career is over. Was a senior last year. Still has a year of football eligibility and would obvious be a walk-on.

If she can put balls out the endzone or where coach wants, why not let her do it and RS Hairston to have even longer??

she's finished with soccer anyway so if she's still in school she'd have to be paying her own way anyhow.

This. IMO it would be really cool and nobody is a better ambassador for LSU than Mo

She will not be on scholarship with the soccer team for the 2012-13 academic year, so this rule does not apply.

What does it hurt to have an extra kicker? Stuff happens. Didn't Tenn have to call some frat kid to be their kicker for a game last year due to injury?
