Yeah it sounds like the allergy caused the seizure.
Or maybe he just passed out from anaphylaxis and he never had a seizure.

That’s highly likely I would say.

I asked my wife, a nurse, if an allergic reaction could cause a seizure. She said she'd have to think on it but seemed skeptical.

If he had a reaction to something and was treated with steroids and anti-histamines, it’s not out of the realm of possibilities that he would be able to play. His body would basically be back to normal this morning if the event happened last night. Some of the suspected allergic reactions I have treated in the past would resolve in 10-15 min after being treated. The key is early treatment.

Hope this is true. Stingley is a high quality young man with a ridiculously bright future.

Allergic reactions can cause seizures, just saying those aren’t mutually exclusive.
But yes that is great news it isn’t something potentially chronic or more serious.

Probably oysters
Lot of fresh water lately
Out of the blue, at age 56, my mom suddenly developed an allergy to shellfish seafood. Had to go to the hospital. Now, anytime she eats at a restaurant she has to check and make sure nothing she eats is fried in the same oil as any shellfish. Otherwise, she breaks out and her face and neck swells up and turns red. Why this happens to some people, like there's a light switch that just flipped on, is still unknown.

Looks like you did a good job of choosing a wife....
Now how about some pics so we can see just how well you chose.

Extremely likely that it was anaphylaxis, not a seizure

Is that a condition Stingley can easily live with? I know it’s an extreme allergic reaction but I wonder what it is he’s allergic to.

Sounds like she’s a retarded nurse. That’s a standard question she should know.
Then you got little kids like this calling peoples wives retards. When are they gonna clean this place up?

Absolutely. If that was it, he’s already okay. He’ll just be tired for the next day or two from the medicines and not sleeping much last night. Then, they need to figure out what he is allergic to so he can avoid it. If that was it, he’ll be able to practice on Monday.

frick off, man.
She didn't say absolutely not but wasn't familiar with an instance like that.

I pray he is ok. Obviously it will help LSU, but the kid has such a great future. A true generational talent.
