And if this is just entertainment, why are you on an LSU message board talking about it? Stop watching. Start rooting for whoever is winning this week and leave us alone.

If LSU football is not entertainment, then what is it? And I'm on the message board because this is entertainment as well. Where else am I going to go and have this many people stark raving mad over simply saying there is nothing wrong with people leaving a massacre early. You disagree, fine, but don't try and push your beliefs off on everyone and telling them how crappy they are for leaving. I'm glad the rest of you enjoy staying and watching a whole game, no matter the outcome, but there is nothing wrong with anyone leaving either. And to say anything to the contrary is asanine.

Yeah, and the fanhood reflects in the constant stupidity of this board.

Again, people leaving in the 3rd quarter should be ashamed of themselves. We were within 14 points with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and knocking on the door.

Maybe, just maybe, some people shouldn't bother coming to the games if 4 full quarters is too much to handle. Hell, I would have left if we were 4 TD's down to start the 4th quarter. That would have been a massacre as you described it, but it was well within reach until the last pick 6.

It is any ticket holder's perogative to leave at any time they like and not many people are disputing that fact. They just shouldn't be suprised when other fans call them out on it.

Well, I drove all the way from Austin and there was no way in Hell I was leaving early. I saw the crowd starting leaving in the third and I laughed. I was pulling for LSU so badly to score the touchdown in the fourth to pull within 7 points with 5 minutes left so I could laugh at those who left early.

People left early, it's not the first time. It won't be the last time.

South end zone - I could not get people to stand and yell during 3rd down situations plus people starting leaving with 8 minutes left in 3rd qtr - what the hell? I drive all the way from Katy Texas and will stay until the refs say game over. My throat hurts today and I am disappointed by proud of my team. Tomorrow is another day.

Watching the game on TV I was sick to see the empty seats, my thoughts were the same as the poster, support the team! We had a chance to pull off a come back. Support your Tigers!

Somewhat agree.

I haven't been to a "big" home LSU game since the Auburn "bring back the magic" game in '95. I do not live in La. Have been to some games in Tiger Stadium, but pretty much blowouts, since then. Attended 2 SEC championship games, Peach Bowl win over Miami, several road games. I was impressed w/ the crowd yesterday. Very loud, great atmosphere. When LSU missed the FG,and Moreno broke the long run to make it 38-17, yes, I was VERY disappointed to see some fans streaming for the exits. Obviously, the game was not over, and had LSU scored deep in Ga. territory, it would have been a 7 pt. game w/ 5 minutes left.

I sat in section 407 -- great fans around there, except for the few "sit down in front" jeers I heard. Hey, it's a football game. Guys are on the field sweating, bleeding and knocking the crap out of each other. If you want to eat cheese and wine, go to the opera. Otherwise, stand up, cheer, and yell.

People buy tickets --whether season tix or individual tix -- and certainly can do whatever the heck they want. It's a free country. But I get tired of people criticizing the student section ... they were very loud and very boisterous and very supportive of the team, and THEY didn't the game early. That was lame. BTW, I'm 47 y.o., and attended LSU from 78 to 82. College is for students ... leave 'em alone and make sure there are enough tickets for all of them who want to attend the games, to attend. Us old farts had our runs, it's time to move over and let the new generation have their's.

Anyway, no offense, but if you're too damn old, and/or cranky, to suffer FOOTBALL fans who want to stand up occasionally and MAKE SOME NOISE for the Tigers, maybe you need to leave your tix to your grandkids, in your will.

My problem isn't so much on people calling them out, it's the manner in which the calling out is done. Extremely mean spirited!
