dude does have a good point. if it was 2 Pac12 sissy teams playing in the championship and LSU, Bama, Ark all had a loss, we would be mega-pissed and spewing flames.

that is exactly it's intent. Under the old agreement LSU would play in Big 10 co-champ in the Sugar Bowl. While Alabama would most likely be playing the Big 12 champ in the Orange Bowl.
the way it looks now the #1 and #2 teams will play exactly as it is written.
everyone is letting their pro or anti SEC agenda get in the way of the fact LSU and Bama are the two best teams this year.

welcome facing Bama again for the title in a rematch.
You are a dumbass. He had tyo say he would love a rematch otherwise he would be in a bad spot with the sec.

And he wouldn't be bitching if it was Oregon and Stanford we were talking about.

Speak for yourself. Some people are capable of watching the games and discerning who the best two teams in the nation really are. In the system we have, no one should bitch about the two best teams playing for the NCG.
If you want to bitch, bitch about the system.

LSU has played Alabama already. We haven't played OSU or VT; my opinion is that playing another conference champ would be what was presumed. A second team from the conference was allowed in to make sure the conferences got their money, and good teams still made big bowls (see- Oklahoma+Nebraska; Ohio St+Michigan, etc). But not for the title.
PAC10 and B10 (previous incarnations) have been the most vocal against any type of playoff. Their fans only have their own conferences to blame for any rematch based on rankings.

The OP appears to be an idiot, flamer, west coast biased pansy that happened to make a valid point about the prospective Alabama rematch that many on the rant have already discussed to no end.
Who has also suddenly disappeared when asked to respond to a valid question.

i've never seen one person not named PJ be wrong so often in 1 thread.
In what official capacity do Tom Callaghan, Peter Mucha and Mason Porter (the authors of the article from your link) serve the BCS?

I'm with you, it should not be allowed and should be built in to the BCS. Not so much the conference but 'if there was a head-to-head matchup'. I would have boycotted the Ohio St/Michigan rematch and they both got their arses kicked. Should not be allowed, but we may have no control over that this year.

The whole nation already thinks the SEC gets a auto entry into the Title game.
Only if they have one of the best 2 teams

It is not fair to allow Bama to sit at home and not risk playing again, never mind they did not win their Conference, or even their Division.

And if, on the morning of December 4, 2011, LSU is No. 1 and Oklahoma State is No. 2 according to the sum total of the BCS rankings, what will you say?

I'll ask you the same question. If, on the morning of December 4 LSU and Okie State are 1 and 2, what will you say?

Im surprised i haven't heard anyone bring up the Michigan/Ohio St example of prior projection/suggestion of a rematch title on the shows. the shooting down of is honestly one major reason why i think if Ok st wins out, they make it.

Blame the system. You can't change it at 5 minutes til midnight.

Southerners who don't get out often don't realize the anti-SEC sentiment that exists out there.
Is that in Arizona State or Los Angeles where they can't fill a stadium? Nothing matters more than SEC football. Seriously. Think about it.

That they should play. Is someone on here saying #1 and number #2 shouldn't play?

What can I say? It's the system, so be it.
I think Bama is in another league than Okie St, but we have a system and will not do some pansy arse thing like boycott the game because I don't like it.
I watch the game no matter who is involved, have for years as most college football fans will do. I also support a playoff.

There are a lot of assumptions in this thread that are unfounded. Everything from the purpose of the BCS to the way things will end up on December 4. Any rational person reading most of the posts would draw the conclusion that the posters have already consluded that Alabama should be in the BCSCG. And that's not necessarily true.

if by 2/3 human and 1/3 computers OSU is #2, I will be rejoicing.
i would much rather LSU get to take the path of least resistance.
