The first 11 games, LSU beat a bunch of tomato cans. Surprised Arkansas and then back to getting our arse kicked.

The play to finish the 1st half is exactly the thing people crucified will wade for. Then turn and say McMahon is and X’s and O’s Guy. I think McMahon is a good coach, I also thought wade was, but just because the wanted result doesn’t occur, that doesn’t make it street ball.

People who know basketball have been saying all season we just don’t have the talent this year. MM doesn’t deserve any of the blame for that, but he needs to hit the transfer portal and build a better roster next year.

Just wait until we play a top talented team in the SEC before you judge his opinion.

Against some of the teams we will see later I would agree. tonight totally disagree.

A&M did not blow us away Re: talent at all IMHO. In fact I thought we stayed with in striking distance because of their limitation. What I saw was their effort was much better than ours and that is not something we can afford or that is acceptable.

I would concede we just don't have the toughness outside Hannibal, but the effort tonight was inexcusable.

This was going to be a long term project. Nobody ever suggested otherwise. Hope they can show improvement over conference play so coach has something he can point recruits to that demonstrates that taking a chance on LSU rebuilding the program from scratch has legitimate likelihood. Two to three seasons from now we may have something worth while. For now, these are the dark times expected when a University purges the program to avoid a potential death penalty.

Three games ago I thought this team was much better than the 8th place SEC prediction they got at the beginning of the season. Now I don’t think it’s low enough.

So you're basically a chick?

Well, no shite (not taking a shot at the OP)

Yeah the win over Arkansas was cool, but anyone paying attention knows there will be nights when this team has trouble scoring. This is not an NCAA Tournament caliber team, but it isn't supposed to be. Enjoy the victories and the journey because it will get better...but don't expect it to happen this year.

The team seems to be generally trending up to me, this was simply a dip hopefully. Only time will tell. There was a lot of lazy passing in this game and poor shot selections. That combined with the lack of rebounds, offensive rebounds, in particular, made the outcome tonight almost inevitable.

Our AD sacrificed the basketball program to keep Emmert happy, a bunch of cupcake games masked this fact early in the season.

Hope MM succeeds, but Woody isn’t going to put the resources behind him. He made it clear the way he handled the end of last year, basketball is a very low priority.
