whatever...Jimbo is a proven coach with a great resume...
No doubt. But I still think the ACC isn't quite up to a full SEC slate yet (they're getting better though, or we're getting worse. However you want to look at it). I'm just curious how much growing pains the fanbase would be willing to endure just to be rid of Miles. Especially considering how often Miles pay per win gets brought up here.

are you suggesting we are stuck with Miles for at least two more years because of money?
If the article in the OP isn't fabricated, it would seem so. I was more thinking from the side of we paid Jimbo and he came here and lost 3 games, not so much whether LSU could pay him that (apparently we could).

FYI, Jimbo coming up next on Rusillo and Kannel.

So pretty much we're revisiting this next year. What are the odds King pulls this again?

But, but, what about Les Miles recruiting....

Buzz: FSU is the only school in the nation other than Alabama to rank in the top 10 in each of the last five recruiting classes. The Seminoles' worst class in the five-year span was 10th in 2013; three other classes ranked in the top five.

Are you on the ACC is as good as the SEC West train?

Jimbo beat a SEC West team for the 2013 National Title

We just hope and pray that he actually wants to come here, which I would think is his only draw for leaving FSU. Aside from some rumored beef with him and the AD, he's got it made in Tallahassee.

Les Miles beat that same team in more impressive fashion.

But regardless, I'm on the "Jimbo is at the very least as good as Les Miles train."

Even if he wants to come here, he's not going to just turn down extra money without trying to get it from us.

Duh. I'm thinking about bidding with schools OTHER than FSU.
Is there a drop in the buyout next year?

Rusillo just asked Jimbo straight up if he was coming to LSU, and Jimbo still did not say no.
Dude was going to come.

It's just all very frustrating. If we can lure Jimbo away next year, it should have just happened now. Just wasting a season. But NOW it's going to be even harder. Sexton will certainly see to that.

Speaking of Saban, he won't be coaching forever...and Alabama won't take the cheap route for its coach like we are. I have to imagine that Jimbo would be on their shortlist if he was still at FSU when Saban retires.

I was completely on the Jimbo train, but another year of HC experience under Herman's belt might convince some more people, including myself.
