I hope so, but really if you are this intoxicated shouldn’t somebody have noticed.
You would think that the usher's would look for this kind of stuff.

Yeah, well at least I knew my limit after I feel that I needed to leave before I hurt someone. This guy probably didn't even know he was at the game.

I really hope the drunk bastard that fell is charged for negligent injuring or something similar.

I wonder what type of insurance LSU has to buy to settle the inevitable law suits that come from these types of things. I'd also be curious as to how much it adds to the average ticket price. 2¢? $2.00? More? It really would be interesting to find out.

I'd like to hear from the south upper as to HOW he fell. The railing is high enough NOT to "accidentally" f
all over.

A friend of mine was sitting about 3 seats over from him and said he had been pretty rowdy all game shouting and beating on the handrail. She said everyone was sitting while LSU was on offense. Then one of the backs had a big run and the guy lept up out of his seat and over the handrail.

I sit about mid way up in 417. Rumor floating around during the game was that someone had gone over the rail at the TOP of the south endzone.....that wouldn't have ended so well!

Did this happen after a big play that caused him to jump?

Isn't it sad that some people have to be inconveinenced because others don't know when to stop drinking. I have no sympathy for the a-hole drunk that fell. Frankly someone should have kicked his arse for hurting the old gentleman. Just another reason many people don't go to the games and stay late. It's not just the traffic, but the damn drunks you have to deal with. Stinky, loud, insulting, disrespectful, obnoxious drunks.

As bad as this story is, did anyone read what happened at yesterdays Laker/Golden St. game? A toddler fell from the luxury box suites. Apparently the young boy was about 2 or 3 and fell about 50 feet to his death. That is such a tragic event and I can't began to feel what his parents are feeling. I know this has no bearing on LSU but I was so moved after reading the article. As soon as I read it, it took me back to how this guy fell at the LSU game but ended up ok.

He fell into the stairs between section 408 and 409. I don't remember the exact play, but we had all just stood up to scream at referees.

I don't see the point of getting wasted and going to a game. You can hurt yourself or someone else. You don't have to be drunk to cheer.

Thank for clarifying the section number. I sit in 421 in SEZ and someone was taken out on a board in that section as well but the upper deck does not overhang 421 so i was wondering if the story was about that guy that just got blown way out of proportion or it was a seperate incident

I don't think that being drunk is an excuse anymore. A person may be completely trashed but come on! You gotta have some kind of self restraint. If you can't handle alcohol, maybe you should just stop drinking altogether.

I'm in 421. Early in the game some fratty-looking dude in a gold shirt had to be carried out on a stretcher due to drunkeness; there were some other women that were totally annihilated walking up the 421 as well (I sit near the gate).

I missed the dude in 422 fall unfortunately.

The guy in 421 that was right at the beginning of the game? That kid had knee surgery about a week ago and his knee gave out as he was walking up the stairs to his seat, so he had to get carried back out.

What exactly happened? Did they do it with alcohol or what? Did the dude literally just decide to do a random somersault?
