Y'all are making me curious...

TDthankgodforfootball@yahoo.com

thanks
Every time there is an opening on the coaching staff, people on here seem to get disappointed when a prospect is over the age of 30.

Everyone wants the "young up and comer".

I just don't really get it. Why would you want a young unproven coach over someone 10 or 15 years older with a proven resume and past success. Do people really think a 33 year old white guy is going to have that much more in common with most of our recruits than a 55 year old white guy? And honestly, I don't think many 5 or 4 star recruits pick their school simply b/c the seemed to click with the guy recruiting them. The majority of the time... it's not even their position coach.

Maybe it's just me, but I like a proven track record. On the field and in recruiting.

Pelini will undoubtedly get arrested for a DWI at some point.

cant recruit, wines alot. We can do better than that. He cannot possibly be the frontrunner

I hear a lot of y'all saying he can't recruit... where do you get this impression? i'm just curious. Honestly, the assistant coaches do the majority of the recruiting, with the head coach coming in at the end to close the deal. Where do y'all get the impression that he is so bad at this?

Anti Bo P People - Why

There seems to be a lot of people agains a Bo Pelini hire if Les leaves.... just curious what your reasoning is.

:geauxtigers:
He wasn't drunk at all. He was in a LOT of pain waiting for the medics for about 15 minutes. He was with him mom and sister... mom left with him and sister stayed to watch the game. The poor guy was pretty embarassed.
The guy in 421 that was right at the beginning of the game? That kid had knee surgery about a week ago and his knee gave out as he was walking up the stairs to his seat, so he had to get carried back out.

Hearing this, bad move by Strong if true. Why waste your DC position on an average recruiter/lousy coach?

Where are you hearing this from?

does Auburn not realize that his mother Barbra Dooley is best friends with the Saban's and they lake houses next door to each other? That would be interesting.

What does that have to do with him coaching at Auburn? He doesn't want to hurt his mom's friend's feelings because he's coaching / recruiting against her husband????

Don't think that would be a factor at all....

I do, however, find it disgusting that our staff is getting bonuses for this season.

Seriously?? Yes, it wasn't our dream season... but it wasn't a total sham.

That's the way it is in college football. You go to a bowl, you get a bowl bonus. The bigger the bowl the bigger the bonus.

I'd much prefer Dunbar/Mallory combo to a Pevito/Mallory combo.

So i know some people seem to think Pevito didn't do a great job with the special teams this year... but what makes you think that he's lacking what it takes to be a co-d coordinator?

THe press siad he basically gets to stay on on some AD function and that the Asst Coaches get to stay 2 yeas after he leaves.

is there a link to that? I find that very hard to believe unless the arse. coaches are in a administration type position, otherwise all they could do is hire from within. No decent HC takes a job that they aren't allowed to bring there own assisstants in. Yes, I remember the miles/jimbo deal which is also unusual, but that is one coach.

The asst. coaches did get a 2 year contract. After this season they are only contracted for one more... compared to what the head coaches make... paying off the contracts of the asst. coaches for one year is nothing. As far as Carr taking an asst. athletic director job... that was just one of the guys on game day speculating that that's what will happen. There is not merit to that except that some ESPN guy thinks that would be a good idea.
agree to disagree :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

no he didnt. he gave it to a sorostitute, and she put it out from what i heard

He put it on her facebook wall where anyone else who is facebook friends with her can see it... dumb move

now that his number is public, because of who he is, he is going to have to get a new one

:wah: He made it public.... :wah:

JESUS CHRIST YOU DUMBfrickS

no he didnt. it started when THE LSU STUDENTS called him non stop and harassed him FOR NO REASON. quit saying tebow started it all, because he didnt

Or since he knows he's one of the biggest college football players in the country, he might want to be a little smarter than posting his number on a web site for hundreds of people to see. Most people who aren't even close to being famous know better than that. Great player... dumb move... cocky kid deserved what he got... :geauxtigers:
