If the bats do their job we don’t have to pitch both aces on the same night ??

This is missing the entire point about throwing both our aces tonight.

Starters are religious about their routines. I don’t get why you would break that to come in relief for a game that may not even matter.

Maybe because nothing is guaranteed moving forward. Regionals, Super Regionals, and the CWS…. Pitchers will eventually get knocked off their routine going forward.

They want to make sure he gets work this week since this is single elimination. They don’t want him rusty for next week.

They would rather make sure he gets some live innings over none at all.

Eyanson will 100% start a game in a regional, super and cws. Him coming in relief in any of those would be last resort and facing elimination.

Stupid move

We will never know this because if you don’t pitch him and were to lose he wouldn’t get any live innings. It’s not stupid. It is to make sure he isn’t rusty.

Hopefully LSU wins and we play tomorrow, but you will never know if they would have.

Nope, just felt like mentioning another National Champion Coach at LSU.

If we get through tonight, Jay will put some young pitchers in tomorrow and see what he has for the regionals next week. I don’t hate it b
at first I seriously questioned it but the more I think about it if LSU wins the more I like it. Your aces get innings and you can see who you trust for regionals/supers with needed innings from the bullpen.

After watching Texas and Arky lose, I can see Jay thinking winning this game all but guarantees a top 8 no matter what and the rest of this weekend is lagniappe.

Just saying, being a National Championship coach doesn't mean you can't do stupid things.

Nothing stupid about what he’s doing. Also I mentioned nothing about knowing more than any coach in LSU history. Every coach in LSU history knows more about their respective sport than any poster here.

So you posting that O knows more about me was stupid.
