Clemson, playing the entire ACC conference, + The Citadel, is easier than The Ohio State’s eight game schedule.

Something something eye test. Something something most complete team.

Michigan
Then, if they do a championship game, likely against a ranked team- Wisconsin, Iowa, or Minnesota.
They're playing 8 conference games, just eliminated the OOC which would be cakewalks.

That better than a Clemson schedule
not if it's only 8 games

Name recognition. The same way Notre Dame is still getting attention these days.
Blue blood programs have to really stink it up (looking at you Michigan) to lose that name value.

Big ten plays 9 conference games in a normal season. 3 ooc games. They love money and got a better tv deal because they play more conference games and play on friday nights. There is reason the big ten is by far the richest conferencw.

quote:Obviously. Any B1G involvement in the playoff brings in tens of millions of dollars to each school's athletic department. It's also the only reason the SEC, ACC, and B12 are playing football. Or have ever played football.
The only reason the Big 10 is back playing football is so OSU can play for a championship.

I understand what you are saying. I am not crapping on the B1G. They are legitimate, and they deserve to be in the conversation. I really did not research how many conference games they play yearly. Apparently, OP has a unreasonable problem with OSU’s strength of schedule.

Better question is, explain how Alabama is in unless they lose three games?
Posted on 9/20/20 at 3:24 am to Jugular Joe
They do it every freaking year. Same ole shite.

I agree that schedule is soft and shorter but I am interested in how this all plays out come the final four. Look at a scenario like this....
* CC = conference champion
CC Clemson 11-1 lost to North Carolina
Notre Dame11-1 lost to Clemson
[CC b]Oklahoma or Texas[/b] 11-0 with what’s looking to be a real weak schedule. Ok St, K State, Kansas, and Iowa state all were uninspiring to say the least and nobody else besides Texas and Oklahoma I think are even worthy of a ranking in the Big 12.
Florida 10-1 loses to Bama in CC game
Alabama

Because the media will go with the “most complete team in America” schtick like they did all year last year when LSU had a much better resume.

Better than Clemson schedule

THAT’s not true. It started because kids wanted to play.

they probably realized all their recruits were about to get poached for not playing.

They get in by beating the shite out of all of them, easy question

If your middle school brought the viewership numbers that Ohio State brings, the network execs would consider them.
It's a billion dollar business. But. as an aside, the Bucks are loaded this year.
