Expectations for this weekend

Looking forward to watching this game. Doesn't matter to me if the result is a W or an L. This will be a very hard fought entertaining game. As a fan of LSU, I'd like to see the team have success resulting in a W. As a football fan, I see the W ending up on Alabama's side of the scoreboard.
With that said, I keep thinking about 1997 for some reason.

I truly hope this is an inspired game for the team and coaches.
I truly hope somehow Nicky’s plan falters and his team comes out flat and tentative.
I truly hope LSU somehow dominates the Tide and wins this game handily.
But do I expect that to happen? Ahh...

I'm one of the most optimistic fans on here, and predicted - and am hoping for - a 17-16 win. I expect to be disappointed, but will enjoy watching the Tigers fight.
As long as they do their jobs and don't turn the ball over, I believe that this team will have a chance.

I'm just hoping for a gritty performance and this team is very capable.
I think we'll still lose (by more than the spread), but if this team can grow and play off each other, that will be progress in my book.

Keep the game close into the 4th quarter, then somehow Bama make mistakes and/or turnovers then LSU kicks FG as time expires to win 20-18.

Isn't that what the Matt Canada offense is supposed to limit? Our defense is a different issue.

I want to believe that we have a chance but our defense has been up and down and the offensive line i don't think will hold up for four quarters against that dline
