Miles in my eyes may be a great coach and have a great record...
but HE WILL HAVE ALWAYS COMMITTED AN UNBELIEVABLE BLUNDER on JAN 9th...you keep trying to see this as a loss. it was not,
It was a SURRENDER, out of stubbornness , for whatever reason.
Had we fired all of our weapons and given it our best and still lost, NO ONE would be bitching.

Look,I'm one of the biggest fans Miles has on this forum. But after leading LSU to #1 for the Alabama game, I am still just stunned how Miles just quit on Lee after the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa.Yes,Lee played poorly in that game--no if, ands, and buts about it.But Jefferson, while playing reasonably well, didn't make anyone think he was RGIII,either.

I'm still just mystified as to what Miles saw in JJ. Its not JJ's fault nor is my utter confusion at Miles' continuing to play him exclusively a shot at JJ. Miles' is the coach, not Jefferson

Why Miles never played Lee and refused to tinker with or adjust the offense in the second Alabama game is still stunning.Surely he didn't think eventually we'd block a kick and run it back or pick McCarron off and run one back? Why we didn't go down with a fight on offense is just amazing. If you were in a bar fight getting just hammered, wouldn't you at least one time try to get off one good punch ?

and its been questioned. Over and over and over again. Guys its Feb 24th. The game was Jan 9th. We have a basketball team that has won four straight and is fighting hard to get in the NCAA tournament. We have the number 7 ranked baseball team featuring a highly sought after pitcher. Its time to move on.

So 13-1 is the definition of poorly? Cause he's hired to win games not make people happy with his decisions.

I said he handled the QB situation poorly and Lee was starting for over half of those wins. 13-1 is nice and everything but who is really going to be happy with that if you lose the last one? JJ did the same thing on Jan 9th he did in the SEC Champ Game. I will never understand Miles thought process that's why the situation is so interesting. I knew there was a good chance LSU would lose anyway so I wasn't shocked just the shocked how it was lost.

1st post. Appreciate jl for his play and jj also.
jj helped us win 1st game with bama. jl helped us win a lot of games. I think clm hoped 2nd game would be a close field position game.

My concerns with NCGame/season.

1. clm took to long to realize game plan wasn't working. Did not try any vertical passing game with any QB.

2. Did not give meaningful snaps to 2nd & 3rd string QB's when we had many opportunities.

3. We relied on defense and special teams at the end of season without improving offense.

Great season for tigers, we got room to improve. I like clm over lil nick, prob'ly not as good a fb coack but a better person. We gonna roll in 2012 lets enjoy a damn good football team. Once again thanks to 2011 tigers it wasn't perfect, but it was great.

See the fact you are on a message board...note the title in said thread you are posting in... then look away if you don't want to participate and you have moved on.

See how simple that is?

BTW, letting guys vent on this board is prolly way more constructive for the program than our rabid fan base not having an outlet and relying on radio and other more public forums.

?? I copied his freaking post, sorry I didn't scroll back up to respond to him directly. I didn't realize that you are a huge vag. I won't offend you next time.

He wants everyone to move on. I told him to stop trolling in threads that are obviously going to end in Jan 9 complaints. you agree with him so I guess that goes for you as well.

Go drink some coffee and wake up dude.

Much of this is way past "venting". A certain segment is agenda driven bitterness. Ugly stuff.

The Coach Miles that did not play JL in the ncg
is the same person that did not retreat to Michigan. He has integrity. We do not know what his reasons were. I am sure he will never discuss
his reasons. But I would rather have coach Miles
than Nick Saban any day.

Boston Red Sox fans need to leave Bill Buckner alone.
Chicago Cubs fans need to leave Steve Bartman alone.
Buffalo Bills fans need to leave Scott Norwood alone.
Michigan Wolverine fans need to leave Chris Webber alone.

This is sports. Fans are passionate. This topic will not be dropped soon.

Disclaimer: I do not believe in blaming all of the above examples for their team's demise. Just pointing out what fans do.

can you get me in on the meeting where they voted, and let me know how you got in ?

.....they portrayed the UNITED front, but were anything but united.
BTW, if someone had told me that they voted JL the team captain UNANIMOUSLY, I'd be saying the same.

Exactly.

Thank you.

Offensively, the team went downhill after bama and LM's decision to go all out with JJ. I agree you can't blame JJ - he was trying to use what talent he had to win games within the play calling dictated by LM.

What concerns (or should concern) Tiger fans is that LM put diesel in a Masareti engine and thought he could just "truck" over everyone. And if that didn't work, he relied on the D.

Big mistake and LM got caught with his pants down.

Hopefully he has learned his lesson. Those that are around him say - maybe not.

fyi, stats don't bear this out. at all. last 2 games were shitty, but the 3 JJ started before that were some of the highest pts/ yds we put up all yr.

not saying I think he shoulda started, or not been yanked when things went bad, but get your facts right.

Agree that stats are stats.

WKY and Ole Miss were two of the worst teams we played all year. Did we even throw a pass against Ole Miss in the 2nd half?

Offensively, the 2nd half of ARK was JJ's best performance. And they had given up at that point. The throwing in the 4th qtr was LM getting JJ's confidence and stats up. And JJ did a nice job.

Beyond that, the offense was nothing like it was the first of the year against Ore, WVA, Fla and Auburn.

Where would you rank the defenses from Western Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Arkansas on LSU's schedule of 13 teams?
