Because they went trough the exact same thing as Derrius without being treated with kid gloves. Yet the kid who was babied the entire way through high school goes back and shits on the school for being treated unfairly.
It's a slap in the face to them.

The kids I know that were in his class at CHS said he was an arrogant jackass that always got away with shite the other kids couldn't get away with. Maybe they resented him for that rather than his "blackness". Anytime something negative happens to a black it always seems to be racism until proven otherwise, bc frankly that's easier. It's easier to say that all these guys are racists rather than admit that you're a prick that gets special treatment. You have an institution that elevated you to something you could not have been otherwise, giving you special treatment left and right along the way, and then turn around and take a dump on them. Pretty low class.

I'm glad I went to a school that was accepting of all people regardless of skin color. And I was real close to going to Catholic. Whew! Dodged a racist bullet there.

They we saying while they understand Guices intiall feeling of being out of place, that they graduated with "white brothers" and wouldn't have traded it for anything
Some have said they would go back to war with the whites they played football with
A couple mentioned there white classmates being in their weddings
One has mentioned being a godfather to a white classmates baby(I mentioned this earlier)

I know right? How dare he imply his own personal experience at CHS was anything less than a glorious four years during which he was blessed to walk the most hallowed halls in the country. Jeez, he said the school was the best thing to ever happen to him. He also had some issues with his time there. Grow up people it's a fricking high school

I don't hate the kid, and I honestly don't judge him. He has been through some extreme shite. However, I don't have to agree with everything he said.

I get that some people are upset with the article. But come on. It's 2016. If you aren't sensationalizing, you aren't a journalist at this point, right? And it's a little hypocritical for CHS people to call out Guice for playing the victim card by... playing the victim card. The school won't be tarnished or hurt by this at all.
