Everything we knew was a weakness was still a weakness last night

We put our P&G glasses on and convinced ourselves we had fixed all of it during fall camp. How this team had to be pieced together makes it a miracle it was able to function as much as it did and come back to potentially tie it.

I think it was even stated here that there were still some character issues on the team leftover from the previous regime that still needed to be weeded out. We saw that last night as well.

Boutte and Gay are clearly still selfish players.

O line looked as bad as last year. But at least their some young talent that will improve.

The problem is our supposed strengths didn’t look great either.

DL is not as advertised. WR stars struggled to make an impact.

Dline had push all night, even after losing 2 starters.

FSU QB made good throws under pressure.

People were saying D line was best in SEC, yet got manhandled

And was able to find receivers that our dB's (another weakness) lost track of.

Well our DL was advertised as having Maason Smith, but yeah it was disappointing without.

Linebackers were actually the least impressive unit.

Bad in coverage, bad at blitzing, bad at playing sideline to sideline.

Just overall bad.

D line was not manhandled. Lost two starters and still held their own. Lbs missed tackles and no one broke down and sacked the qb.

There’s better lbers on the bench than what was on the field…Mike Jones ended up with just one tackle and he’s one of your starters…YIKES

The DL looked decent at times but FSU was down a couple of OL starters. So maybe a wash?

More a result of the play calling than anything.

This isn't true. Quick passes were where they got us. We also lost a ton of pass rush with Smith and Gaye out.

Judging by your name, you may have played DE at some level, so you can probably understand the frustration he was feeling last night. I was an awful DE in HS but still, if you aren’t getting home it can be unbelievably frustrating. Was it the right thing to do or even within the bounds of what is acceptable? Hell, no. I’m not condoning it but I understand what caused that lapse in judgement. He still deserves whatever punishment is dished out.

Also, their QB is tough as nails. That would have killed some people.

Agree. I was pleasantly surprised, actually.

This is nonsense. That was the most blatant case of targeting I’ve ever seen. He wasn’t even trying to make a tackle there. There was no one else around. He just put his head down and launched himself directly at qb’s head, for no reason.

Our awesome DT that blows everything up got hurt the first few plays of the game.

Honestly I felt the WRs were open a ton and thats where a lot of frustration came in. (Not crapping on Daniels there, he did a lot of great things too, but the first three quarters he held on to the ball for sure)

Would understand a late hit. He launched himself head first. Almost like he wanted to be ejected.

I always fear when one side of the ball dominates in practices. Instead of meaning they are dominating, it could also mean the other side is really weak.
