For leaving pitchers in too long and now he’s the best coach ever and deserves props for sticking with Hurd after 2HRs. Hindsight sure is 20/20 isn’t it

Hurd was awesome tonight. What a clutch pitching performance.

Props to JJ for picking a perfect line up and his gut was right on pinch hitter.

For all the people bashing the coach:

You don't know. You just don't know. You may think you know, but you don't know. And you never will.

He was gonna love or die with Hurd. He couldn’t afford to use up any more pitchers with 2 games left and knowing how the rest of the staff has been lately

I'm not sure this was the overall thought, maybe from others - I don't know.

For me is was the opposite, Jay over-managing match-ups and not letting a guy throw if he's hitting the zone.

Even though Hurd gave up the lead, he continued to fight through and throw strikes.

I think that was (at least my) thought.

Didn’t we say the same thing about Paul?

They always know when a loss occurs right? They are waiting on them to lose a game everytime!

A confidence builder for Hurd the way he settled down and finished the game tonight!

I'm just glad he didn't blaze through the bullpen. He finally stuck with someone and let him work.

Of course, Hurd is now done for the weekend. You get what you get I guess.

I can’t be the only one that still thinks that pitching Hurd in that situation didn’t make sense
