Meyer also coached Alex Smith and I believe Josh Harris at Bowling Green. That's nasty good.

I'd love to have Narcisse.

plenty of confidence to throw

it seems like LSU gets QB's that are quite confident when they get here and then something happens in their development where they are afraid to make mistakes. does anyone else get the same impression?

jennings looks like a totally different QB from playing in the arkansas game in 2013 to now.

3400 yards and 29 TD's this year says he can throw
14 picks says he throws it to the other team a bunch along with his 8 fumbles

That's funny. The competition in the second half of 2014 looks completely different than 2013 Arkansas too....

he just doesn't look confident on the field. that's what i'm saying. harris has a ton of confidence and will uncork a ball in a heartbeat no matter if the guy is covered or not. maybe that has something to do with why he isn't playing at all anymore.

the LSU offense is an uber safe, no risk offense not designed for "play makers"

I haven't read through this thread, but didn't Golson kinda shut down this rumor when he said, "Don't believe everything your read online."

He would just need a waiver from the SEC office, no? Don't see why the interests of a league that owns its own TV Network wouldn't be served by a name like Golson transferring to LSU.

He lost a year due to an academic violation but you would think that was made up by graduating early. I think they used to do that with Prop 48 players... giving them their year back if they performed well in school.

He is still not that good and is only 6ft. What has Golson done against the SEC? He didn't even get to start vs LSU. Harris has far superior talent, has now been in the system for a season and should be the guy going forward. Harris has a better rating too lol. LSU needs to focus on getting this guy ready and putting the faith behind him along with coaching to succeed.

I couldn't care less about how tall he is. Herb Tyler seemed to move the ball up and down the field fine with his height. What have any of our guys done against the SEC? When Notre Dame played Bama in the NC in 2012, Golson at least went 21/36 for 270 yards with a TD and a rushing TD. Jennings went 8/26 against them for 76 yards and 1 TD in four quarters and an OT period.

Harris should do a lot of things, but what should happen and what happens are always far off when it comes to LSU's offense. LSU needs every bit of help it can get right now with the QB situation. Harris didn't get any serious playing time after the Auburn game and barely saw the field at all, so we don't know if he is progressing at all.

LSU is obviously in no position to recruit QBs who simply have raw talent. It is obvious that we can not develop raw talent. The solution is to not recruit a kid that needs to be taught the game. Why is it so hard to recruit a kid who may not have the best arm in the country but knows the game and is smart enough to learn our system. After watching all these bowl games and teams from all other conferences, I scratch my head wondering why LSU is that far behind the times in getting a QB who can just learn a system and make decent throws. Maybe the Golson coming here rumor is not true. We should pursue him ayways.

CBS sports is still reporting this. I don't care what Everett Golson said, why would they continue to say this if there wasn't a lick of truth to this?
