quote:Maybe he just needs two, since that is all he has had with Jennings. And I am pretty sure Jennings was not his recruit.
Why in the hell Is Jennings not developed by now? Does Cam need 3 years to develop a QB when there are many teams playing starting freshman QB and they seem to be doing fine.
Regardless, I am hoping beyond hope that Golson transfers to LSU.

Looks like this will be all moot
Dear God, please win the starting role, Brandon.

@georgewhitfield: Reports of ND QB Everett Golson and other scenarios are simply UNTRUE. I've been in close contact with him & his family & he's a Domer!

Says ESPN analyst on his twitter
Between this and Golson's "don't believe everything you hear" tweet, I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much

Tiger Fans....this is terrible!
He is a turnover machine...and that is playing for a so called offensive coach at ND.

Isn't goerge Whitfield that big name qb coach where harris went this summer? Or is that another name similar?
Eta: yes, that is him.

BTW I know what I'm talking about.
Obviously not. Harris was very raw coming from high school and most people knew that. I don't remember Cam telling anybody that harris would pick up where Mett left off as you're indicating.
And most schools don't have productive starting true freshman QBs. Its very rare.

His fumbles were the bigger issue. He lost 8 fumbles this year...way too many. I don't know if their line was that bad or if he was a little careless when taking off with the ball. Although he had 14 picks, the dude accounted for a ton of TDs (37 TDs). He threw for 29 TDs and he added another 8 rushing TDs. Also, Notre Dame didn't have a good running game. They were ranked 70th in rushing offense. So he had a lot of pressure on him. So at least he accounted for a ton of points. Jennings had 11 TDs to 7 picks and no rushing TDs.

A lot if his picks came in games where they fell behind at threw almost every play. He threw 4 against Arizona state. However, he did throw an interception in something like his last 8 or 9 games to go along with fumbles. It seemed like he was trying to do too much.

He is still not that good and is only 6ft. What has Golson done against the SEC? He didn't even get to start vs LSU.
Harris has far superior talent, has now been in the system for a season and should be the guy going forward.
Harris has a better rating too lol. LSU needs to focus on getting this guy ready and putting the faith behind him along with coaching to succeed.

How in the hell does Harris have far superior talent than a guy who threw for 2500 yards as a true freshman and led his team to the national championship? Far superior is a bit much.

My issue here is if we can't develop 4 star QB recruits into solid players....good luck fixing this guy from ND. There are some major issues behind the scenes here. Cameron can develop QB's....that is a fact. He is not being allowed to run the show. So disappointing....

I would not mind him coming here. Yeah he did commit a lot of turnovers in the ND offense but he was ask to do a lot in that offense. In LSU offense we are a run first team with our featured back Fornette. We wouldn't be asking him to go out and win the game for us.

We've had the number one dual threat before and they can't always pass. We have seen Golson be able to pass adequately to cover one year why others develop and or join the team in following recruting yrs.
Who, Perriloux? Maybe he was #1 I'm not sure, but he could damn well pass the ball. Don't lie about that. Franks plays in a pro style offense under center, is 6'5 200 and has a big arm. He very well could start as a true freshman if Harris bolts. He will have tons of talent around him, and after seeing what Kaaya, Watson, and Hackenberg have done, I think he could follow suit.
Yes you are right about Golson. Harris needs to tough it out and will either be a junior or rs sophomore with a loaded squad in 2016. He'll have at least two years to start and that's enough to get the NFL to notice.
Of course things don't allows work out, but ny hope for the next 4 years at QB;

So you are telling me in one year Cam took an average QB and made him great? So I guess Landry and Beckham had nothing to do with Mett's stats? Mett threw for over 2,600 yards before Cam had anything to do with him. The QBs Cam had from day one and needed to develop are terrible.
Yes Cam took a physically talented kid with bad skills, and made him NFL worthy. Mett Landry Beckham and Hill have discussed this in interviews on how much Cam had improved them. Some guys just can't get right, and maybe Jennings is a guy who only becomes serviceable as an experienced senior.
Look at Mike Bobo and his QBs like Green, Shockley, Stafford, and Murray. The only bad apple was Joe Cox.
Look at Meyer with his QBs like Smith, Leak, Tebow, Miller, Guiton, Barrett and Jones. The only bad apple was Brantley.
Give Cam some time. I agree he will be out the door if Harris doesn't produce next year, but one successful year and one year with a QB who he didn't recruit, or can't get right, is no reason to go all crazy at him.

It ain't over yet until the spring. Let's see how this goes about.

2017 commit will most likely be Narcisse. I'd like to see something similar to what you posted at qb depth.
