Does the overhang get in the way of field view?

Yes I’ve sat there, no the overhang isn’t a problem in fact it’s really great for shade/rain coverage.

I like 408. Overhang isn't a problem. In fact, I'd prefer to be under it for a day game.

Depends on how high up you are. Its great for shade, but in my opinion not being able to see the entire stadium takes away from the atmosphere. But when its 105 degrees at kickoff, you could care less

That is where I sit, four rows from the top. The view is not obstructed, the sightlines are good. You are in the shade for day games and are shielded from the rain. We call it the poor man's suite.

Only negatives:
When the wind is blowing from the north in the winter it is like a wind tunnel, and
the sound of the band can be somewhat muffled.
I sometimes have access to tickets in the NEZ which I like better when the weather is nice.

I have been in that section since 1990 and like it there.

Had season tickets in section 402 which is same section just on east side, tickets were under the overhang and they were great seats. Was a breeze getting in and out of stadium, they were shaded and protected from rain. Only downside to 402 was close proximity to visitors section, you won’t have that issue in 408.

I sit in 403, which is basically exactly the same as 408... The overhang is not an issue. I moved my seats there two years ago after getting wet at the Mississippi State game a few years ago. You get protection from the rain and the sun and you can see just fine. I highly recommend it.

Add 75 more Upper Brass (Trumpets) members to the "Too small for an 102, 000 seat Stadium" GBBFTL and that will no longer be a problem..........

408 is fantastic, a lot of nice people with season tickets that are very friendly and don’t put up with bullshite from obnoxious fans. That being said, I don’t think there is one part of 408 that is directly covered by the overhang from the upper levels. I think the overhang covers sections 413-421. Could be wrong though. But to OP’s concerns, great spot.

About the last five rows of 408 are covered by the overhang.
