When I became a Detroit Tigers fan. My whole family loved the Cardinals and I hated em, still do.

Yeah, but that totally ruined his arm. He was never the same after that. After that debacle, he never pitched more than 29 complete games in a seaon at Detroit. What a shame...

I really don’t think y’all get it.

Y’all are talking about older mature arms getting paid to play in the pinnacle event of the sport.

Skenes is an amateur in a league that gives primarily partial scholarships.

The most talked about thing nationally out of this game will not be who won the game but Jay Johnson’s malpractice if he lets him start.

If Johnson let’s him throw more that 30 pitches he will never get another elite arm again.

Great Pitcher. McClain won 31 in 1968 but Lolich was better when it counted.

Skenes is a true big league arm. He will go deeper than most are expecting today.

You see some college pitchers laboring after 70-80. You see some major league pitchers giggling on the mound after throwing pitch #118 at 102mph on 4 days rest after a 120 pitch outting. Skenes is the later.

It is literally like having Nolan Ryan on a college team.
