If you're going to be a top contender next year, it sure as hell wouldn't hurt having a QB with a little SEC experience under his belt to lead that team.

Then my question is why even have Daniels at all? Wouldn’t Nuss be even better next year if he was the starter now? If Kelly felt like we were still a year away, then why even start Daniels?

Absolutely nothing would change, Daniels will still be the starter. Barring an injury, regardless of performance, Kelly is too Milesesque stubborn to ever sit his guy this year.

Kelly changed QBs at ND more often than some ranters change underwear. This is a dumb take.

Well , we have some passionate fans who can break down film pretty well . There were plenty of issues in the Fl St game that need to be addressed by Mr. Hall of Fame . As far as his career on the line , if this job doesn’t work out , he has a helluva buy out ! Nice retirement package !

This is pure speculation. Stop trying to pass stuff like this as fact. You nor anyone else on this board have any idea what Kelly would do in this case.

If Nuss came in and totally lit it up and outperformed JD I would find it hard to believe he would still refuse to play him.

I think its hilarious y’all are calling one of the winningest coaches in history “stubborn”. You don’t become successful everywhere you go by being stubborn. Les miles was stubborn.

Kelly is trying to 'develop' Daniels for the NFL. He will not give up.

How many Miles QBs threw for 350 like JD did last week?

JD is no NFL not now or ever. Maybe a scout team QB at best.
