Only Payton manning or Drew Breese could be successful in this offense. It's a pro offense. We don't have a pro QB. Most other college QB 's take 90 % of their snaps from the gun. Not LSU. Nothing will get better until we get a new head coach and offensive coordinator. Sad but true

Did you watch the offense yesterday.

Less that 70 yards in the first half against a middle of the road big 10 team.

If that isn't "wheels coming off" I don't know what is.

We did not have a significant drive all game.

Our line offensive TD came in 2 plays set up by a TD. The only other half decent drive ended in the loss sealing Int.

Harris is not the first QB ruined by exposure to CLM & CCC'S TOXIC OFFENSE resulting in partial or complete loss of confidence and regression indirect proportion to exposure over time.
Etling or Scott both share the advantage of less exposure and the corrosive effect over time as did Mettenberg coming inby transfer. It appears that McMillan may already be a lost cause.

This is by far the stupidest thing that keeps being said. Harris is the better qb. Play him until the wheels come off. Belichick almost never plays the backup, and he's that way for good reason. Harris needs the absolute maximum reps he can get, and I don't mean that as a knock on Harris.

You are comparing this to Belichick and Brady!!?? He's TOM BRADY, that's why you don't see the backup!! And as far as wheels coming off.....what do you call last night? The wheels are off!!!

He did have pressure and we should not have been throwing a pass in that situation anyway. It's all on Lesand Cam it's the scheme and the play calling no QB can be successful when the defense knows what play is coming before the ball is snapped

He won't...this is Jefferson/Lee all over again

How?

Jarrett Lee was a starter for multiple games and had some proven success. He led LSU to victory in hostile environments and comeback situations. He wasn't some unknown transfer who the fans were clamoring for (that was Mettenberger).

Etling couldn't even hack it as the QB for one of the most mediocre Power 5 teams in the country.

The scenario you alluded to above and the current one are not even remotely similar.

How many QBs do we have to trash, ridicule, and proclaim the next guy needs a shot before it becomes apparent that the coaching and scheme is the issue.

Throw the ball away!!!! That's knowing football regardless of the play calling or pressure. It's on Les and Cam for play calling, yes, but up to your second year starter to have awareness of the situation.

No, I'd rather we play Scott. Etling has proven in college that he is terrible as well and would die behind this bullshite of an offensive line.

Scott at least provides an unknown and he is currently the only QB on the roster who can really create plays when the OL breaks down. Miles has pretty much taken the dual threat out of Harris.

Jax St and Miss St should be games to test the waters with him.

I was hoping that Harris could transcend the terrible Les Miles philosophy, but I was wrong.

So you want to pass over a guy that's an upperclassman and has college exp for a guy that had his last snap vs high school competition?

Typical

They probably didn't have 4, but Ohio State had 3 in 2014. Point is proven. We don't even have 1

i'm concerned about that myself. but I am not sure and hope you are wrong. I think we should give him some more time before making that a fact. fwiw, I think jarrett lee didn't have the mental toughness to be an SEC qb.

Reps aren't going to help Harris, he's broken. Chalk another one up to Less Miles.
